Bill Paxton dead at 61

I’m sure he can afford the best medical care, but I wonder if he really got it. We have a lot of anti-clotting technologies we use at Spectrum Health. I always wonder if every hospital system goes to such extremes? Recenety, during a simple colonoscopy my legs got massive pressure and cooling devices to try and keep from throwing a clot. 3 years ago they never did that.

Man I’m really going to miss him. Just worked with a 22 year old kid who had heart valve and internal heart trimming surgery this past summer. He came through with flying colors.

Everyone wants to feel safe, but the fact of the matter is, it’s major surgery, and bodies are complicated machines, each and everyone of them unique.

I can only hope for the team involved and the family, they did everything could.
