Bin Laden been dead'n

72 Virgins, One Cup

Looking at the video’s of Bin Laden in his ‘evil genius base’(prior to being killed), i wouldn’t be surprised if his whole apparatus was one of the most sophisticated in the world, maybe even as well run as the pentagon? I bet they find a remote control to a ‘moon laser’ etc…

…then at least we can all relax and go back to sleep.

Read how he did his email, it was actually really simple: He wrote email offline, on his computer in his compound, gave it to his courier on a thumb drive, who would go to various Internet Cafe’s, log on to some web mail program, send the email from the thumb drive, download emails in the inbox to the thumb drive, and bring it back to the boss. He’d load the emails from the thumb drive onto his computer, read them offline, rinse and repeat.

Apparently the hundred or so thumb drives they found were filled with emails, it appears instead of erasing and re-using them, he just kept them full and used new ones.

Elegantly simple approach, and one that worked in terms of avoiding, for a decade, being found electronically.

It’s a good thing he turned out to be an electronic pack rat.

Apparently the reason he kept so many things in the compound was that he felt 100% secure there. No way the Americans would find him without plenty of prior warning.

Gee, wonder why?

And Pakistan can’t win. On the one hand, someone there was clearly providing Bin Ladin info and security, raising the ire of the anti-Al Quaida crowd. On the other hand, Al Quaida is killing Pakistanis in retaliation for the raid.

Kind of like my grandma?

Zak, why do you keep banging this drum when there are literally thousands of posts in P&R that clearly show people think about the war on terror, freedom and democracy in far more sophisticated and varied manners than this ugly, clumsy, broad stereotypical fashion you insist upon? It just makes you look foolish and thick-headed and no, I am not attacking you, I am attacking your childish argumentative tactics.

P&R as well as America is many things. Simplistic and unified in opinion is not remotely one of them.

Disney seeking trademark on SEAL Team 6.

I’m hoping it’s a Pixar release about a team of anthromorphic commando seals on the lines of this.

I’m just curious if there’s anything more disrespectful to the military then to try to claim ownership of them.

Hacking their WoW accounts while they’re away.

Yeeeeeeeeah. Nothing says Christmas quite like an ornament commemorating the death of a terrorist.

And snow globes? Who the fuck even buys those anymore?

What’s next? SEAL Team 6 Hummel figurines?

They need a badguy in this picture, but who shall it be?

You can’t make heroes without enemies…

Disney actually has three trademark applications for Seal Team 6, each dated May 3:

Word Mark SEAL TEAM 6
Goods and Services IC 028. US 022 023 038 050. G & S: Toys, games and playthings; gymnastic and sporting articles (except clothing); hand-held units for playing electronic games other than those adapted for use with an external display screen or monitor; Christmas stockings; Christmas tree ornaments and decorations; snow globes

Word Mark SEAL TEAM 6
Goods and Services IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Entertainment and education services

Word Mark SEAL TEAM 6
Goods and Services IC 025. US 022 039. G & S: Clothing, footwear and headwear

Interestingly NovaLogic registered “Seal Team 6” back in 2004 and subsequently allowed the trademark to expire in 2006.

Yeah, the aforelinked article mentioned that.

I imagine it would have been much like their Delta Force games.

Maybe Disneyworld is creating a new ride, “Abbotabad Mansion” maybe, wherein you ride a helicopter car running on a track over and eventually into an evil terrorist’s hideout and get to watch animatronic puppets in black suits shooting at other puppets wearing turbans while screaming female puppets wearing burkas run back and forth in front of the ride’s track, and model helicopters crash and explode, all of which is accompanied by music, probably “America the Beautiful” sung over and over ala “it’s a small world”. At the end of the ride the helicopter cars might land on the “deck” of an aircraft carrier set while more animatronic puppets drop a body sized white sack into a pool of water representing the Indian Ocean. Splash!

Well in a land all about commercialism, is it really any surprise? And this does tie in to my theory that some elements of the games industry(i guess Disney qualifies these days?) are in the pockets of those that make their money out of the war on terror(etc). Possibly. It would make sense, in the same way Fox News does exist and gets it money from somewhere, it’s probably the same for the companies that are going to make ‘Seal Team 6: Bin Laden strike’ etc?

And ok Bill(and everyone else i’ve upset), i’ll tone it down a bit.

Dude, Warren. Joint Ops wasn’t that bad. I rather liked it when I wasn’t riding in an APC for two miles between my spawn and the front.

www guardian co uk/world/2011/jul/11/cia-fake-vaccinations-osama-bin-ladens-dna

The CIA organised a fake vaccination programme in the town where it believed Osama bin Laden was hiding in an elaborate attempt to obtain DNA from the fugitive al-Qaida leader’s family, a Guardian investigation has found.

Kind of a sucky coda… At least the anti-vax people will get some new grist for the mill.
