How can you stand the art?

I don’t look at the pictures, I just read the words.
Wow.
I don’t usually pay that close attention to art on cards either, but that is something else again. I’m not sure I could look at that long enough to finish a game.
Jeebus, I don’t even know the Firefly TV show and that’s painful. It must be particularly painful to you nerds who watch that stuff!
One of the main reasons I like the Legendary Alien game is that it has a traitor mechanic and therefore isn’t just a solitaire game.

It is already out in the stack of games in primary rotation. There will be Arctic Scavenging!

It is my understanding that the retail demand for Gloomhaven may have far eclipsed the actual print run outside of those printed for us backers… So I would recommend keeping your eye out and jumping on a copy. My guess is you will need to pre-order it as the second copies hit retail, they will evaporate. Maybe sign up on a couple of online stores, if you have not, and select the re-stock alert option to possibly get a heads up.
Per Isaac, the designer:
The scenario you described was the case with the original print run, after a much much smaller Kickstarter with no concept of the eventual demand.
Huh I usually do the opposite lol…
My Gloomhaven saga continues.
Turns out I did infact order it, from amazon.com, and not .co.uk which is my usual to go website.
So it has been paid for.
Never arrived.
Am chasing it up.
Curious case of the missing board game.
Retailers don’t have it yet, so that’s probably why you don’t.
Do you remember where you saw this reported? I think I read this somewhere too, but can’t figure out where.
So this is the latest post on the developers blog:
That talks about the January release and their intention to have plenty of copies available. Of course BGG and Reddit are skeptical of that claim.
Aha, thanks!
So there it is, there’s hope for all you non-backers!

I got Arcane Academy and Go nuts for Donuts, woo!
I got a bunch of tabletop games from my thrift-store-hunting dad last night: Elder Sign, 221B Baker Street, and a Chinese-rules mahjong set. My sister also got me an “I HAVE OPINIONS ABOUT BOARD GAMES” T-shirt. Now I just need to clear some space to play things!
I loved 221B Baker Street growing up. Hope you enjoy it (and it holds up)!
You know what? I think it does, especially with more casual players. The roll-and-move bit can spoil it, but I think that’s rare. And the mysteries are pretty good, and solvable by pretty much anyone because it does more handholding than something more open like Consulting Detective. There are a lot of expansions, although I don’t know the chances of finding any of them. Can you tell if your used copy has any expansions, @WarpRattler?
