If I go upstairs in my parents’ house, the cell signal is fine. If I go outside, in any direction, it is fine. However, downstairs, where we spend 95% of our time, there is only a very weak signal if I mash myself against the front door.
Does anybody know of an inexpensive way to boost a cell signal inside?
I don’t know the specifics, but I do know that a single unsheilded wire run around the house in a loop and then up to the roof would vastly improve cellphone signals inside.
There have been some new consumer offerings around this, but for the life of me I can’t remember details. Lynksys or Logitech or someone like that was doing a dual-mode base station that would link to your cell and extend its use through your house. I think.
