Nope, none that I know of.

Discounting stuff is common of course (although much less common with DLC), but giving away stuff like this for free tends to discourage your fan base from buying your games in a timely fashion in the future.

Although if you’re talking about silly bonuses like extra items specific to a distributor, that is somewhat more common.

Especially keep an eye on Greenmangaming for cheap dlc. I snagged the Mechromancer dlc from them for $2.25 back in December when they had their BL2 sale plus one of their x% off discount codes on top of that. The season pass was $10.50.

boo it doesnt look like the new dlc is in the season pass.

No, the new character is specifically excluded. Which is mostly OK with me, I’m not a fan of the style of play or the character concept.

Yes, i question how fun the new class would be as well.

Being based around using melee in a game that is about looting guns and has no melee weapons seems like a bad idea.

Mostly I agree, though I’ve heard that a properly specced Zero can be interesting. Mainly because of “Many Must Fall.” The idea is that you go zooming around killing off the lighter stuff without ever leaving invisibility.

There’s equipment that boosts melee considerably, even if there are no melee weapons per se. There’s a “rapier” rifle in the Scarlett DLC that’s a mediocre rifle, but adds +200% melee damage. “Roid” shields can help, though they require that you lose your shield first.

Well, I am a nut who bought Krieg and I think it will take awhile to get to the more “fun” skills. The axe is nice and nasty and really fucked Flynt’s shit up when I faced him early on. I’m moving down the maniac tree and I am 2 skill points away from “light the fuse”. Looking forward to that.

This is crazy. I spend more time entering keys now than playing the game. Anyway, thanks for posting and don’t forget the wiki page that keeps track of them: http://orcz.com/Borderlands_2:_Golden_Key#Latest_Shift_Codes

ooh, game is on a steam sale! i wont have time to play it though, sadly :(

That Torque Arena thingy is kinda neat. First time I found out where one of the DLCs were – by accident :)

All the BL2 talk finally kicked my ass in gear, and I have started playing the DLCs, Almost done with Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty, Shade , Scarlett, and Herbert are all pretty awesome / creepy.

Just got done with the lighthouse mission, very good DLC. :)

I found Scarlett to be incredibly frustrating.

I somehow seemed to never activate checkpoints, so about 80% of deaths would have me respawning a very long distance away from where I had died. I also found lots and lots of map bugs/geometry issues.

Don’t get me started on Leviathan, lost $4million trying to kill him before giving up and cheesing with a map glitch >.>

Quite liked Torgue expansaion, going to try Hammerlock next.

My experience was quite the opposite - I’ve never had to respawn while fighting Leviathan, though the first time I fought I did have to get a Second Wind from one of the sand worms he spawns. He doesn’t hurt you all that much, and once you realize he only takes damage when you shoot the pustules, the rest is straightforward.

I can feel your pain, though. While Leviathan didn’t give me any troubles, I was very thoroughly frustrated by the Badassasaurus, so I know how that feels. I mentioned upthread I ended up cheesing that fight. I’m told he’s vulnerable to EXPLOSIONS, but I haven’t tried that approach yet.

Scarlett does have a couple of pirate camps which don’t have checkpoints, which is very annoying. Mostly I didn’t die unless I got ambushed by Cursed Pirates. Man, I hate vampiric enemies.

I’m only aware of one map oddity in Scarlett, which is that the area with what’s-his-name’s trove, the one with the Badass Achievement for finding it, has you sinking slightly into the surface and move slowly. I don’t know why.

Overall my enjoyment was Scarlett > Torgue > Hammerlock. Torgue would be very, very close if that final boss fight wasn’t in a wide-open arena, which I think is lame. Scarlett also has better dialog, IMHO. Sure, Tiny Tina is great, but Captain Scarlett’s running patter on a variety of subjects is top notch. “That’s when I learned never stab your friends in the back until you’re absolutely sure you have the upper hand.” “I have just one rule, that you stick with it. That, and no fatties.” “Sure, I’ve murdered my share of children, but you don’t brag about it. That’s just rude.”

I should note that I’m playing on UVHM! Very many enemies, and almost every boss can one shot me. I find the Siren to be incredibly weak, I miss my Commando (on the X360) purely for the ability to throw out the turret and use it for constant second winds :)

Oh, yeah, UVHM. That makes a difference. I died a fair amount in Scarlett in plain ol’ TVHM, though I did do OK against Leviathan. I haven’t quite prepped myself for UVHM, since I find TVHM difficult enough.

Now and then I’ve thought about trying Borderlands 2 multiplayer. The main reasons I haven’t are that I don’t want to do a pick-up-group, and I’m unlikely to have a character precisely the same level as anyone here. As I said, I haven’t dipped my toe in UVHM yet, my highest level is a level 52 Zero.

That, and I basically hate people.

I have a 54 Siren. Kinda regret not going with a Gunzerker, as my level 18 one is an absolute blast. Plus, the siren’s special ability is pretty much useless on bosses.

If you download the Borderlands 2 Savegame Editor I think you should be able to change the class. I’m going to try it now, as I have more fun with my Turret-Class at 20 than my Siren at 51.

Just wasted the Gluttunous Thresher with Krieg’s melee special. Really starting to dig this guy now. “light the fuse” is also fun, but I just found out that a badass loader scoffs at my puny detonation. Still fun to run around tossing dynamite insyead of crawling around when out of health.
