Another DLC today! I literally can not keep up, I have not finished the main game or any of the DLCs, today marks what, the 3rd one?

I like the new DLC, theres a new challenging enemy (a shaman psycho) and the areas have a interesting design. Its nothing to write letters home about but is above my “Meh” impression. Only played it a few minutes.

The DLC acknowledge that you have killed Jack, and this is a good thing, considering I have done it multiple times.

In the muahaha scale, it score “:D” so far, for jokes you can celebrate without a exterior expression.

So far theres a lot of walking, that I have shortcut by the method of exiting/entering again a level to teleport to the start… and still theres a lot of walking.

I have not managed to play this in coop yet, looks like could be fun. Release day not many playing it (not that I have seen here).

Edit:
Perhaps I am the wrong person to talk about this, since B2 failed to be addictive for me after completing it the second time, unlike B1 that made me play very long and make a lot of new friends.

How does it compare to Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage? I loved that DLC.

Played a couple of hours of the new DLC, feels like 5-6 hours to me. So much walking, and not enough vending machine to offload loot or spawn point. Those psycho shamans are PITA. Seems to be very damage resistant. If you get the lightning shaman, then pray that you have cover or you are dead in 3-4 seconds. Also if you don’t kill them fast enough, they level up other bandits. PITA. Oh, for some reason they resist phaselock, you can only lock them for about a sec max.

The only way to kill them quickly is AoE grenade right in the face, they move very slowly so basically eat the full AoE damage rather than run away like normal bandits.

I am not having the type of fun I had with Borderlands 1. All this grinding to obtain even better gear and MMORPG boss that you have to pass a gear check to pass don’t really are increasing my fun, more like killing it. I think the whole thing would work if I connected better with it. But I generally have problems to find people to play with, and the DLC quality is probably lower. Something is not working here, maybe is me.

Gear check? grinding? What bosses are you referring to?

The only place I’ve done any “grinding” at all is trying to get legendary drops off the Warrior. And that was because I wanted to, there was never a need to (and I haven’t gotten anything off him anyway).

The Condition:

Started it yesterday and it is interesting so far, but a very different vibe from the Torgue campaign. As noted, some of the enemies are really challenging. For those that have asked about when to do various DLCs, I think the perfect time to do this one on normal mode is right after finishing the main quest at level 31. Run the Warrior a few times to make sure you’ve got strong gear, then head out. I strongly suggest having a slag weapon in your arsenal. Some of these guys are really tough to kill.

One thing on the new DLC: Its minimum survivable level is 30, maybe upper 20s.

Going in at level 25 is definitely sure, quick death…

I don’t know… they haven’t announced DLC 4 yet, so maybe it would come with that one.

I’d imagine they’d have to add another playthrough so that we can actually level up. My guess would be that it won’t be a payed DLC. I suspect that we’ll get the level cap increase in March, then a 4th DLC in May. Then they’ll probably announce season 2.

What are these? Were these heads and skins always for sale?

I think Tuesday they put these up. There’s 15 skins (head and body) total at 80 points (or $1.00) each, 3 per character. Not included in the season pass, and no bulk pack to get them all at a discount. So $15 if you want them all.

Some of them are pretty nice, but since it’s a first person game, you can’t see them on yourself really. Maybe a money-grab, but totally optional and if it supports more development and future updates/sequels, I’m all for it.
