Thankfully they’ve posted the Hank and Marie scene on youtube.

Those and the scene in his garage. He has this amazing look of smoldering rage that’s really cool to watch.

Well, at least I understand the whole Miley Cyrus thing now, which I had been resolutely ignoring. That was great mash-up.
Thank you for sharing that with me. No really. Too funny!
What I love about Breaking Bad is how they’re so willing to give Walt these great lines worthy of 80s era Schwarzenegger, but then they go out of their way to make Walt do scenes in his underwear, and then instead of giving him boxers or something reasonably sexy for a guy his age, they put him in those sad whitey-tighties, with a big sag in the crotch that just makes you want to groan and look away.
I think it’s a subliminal message. Vince Gillian trying to get us on Walt’s side. Make him appear needy, nerdy and vulnerable.
I should do a paper on how many scenes Bryan Cranston does in his undies and how it influences the audience’s perception of his character.

I am looking forward to “Hank and Marie watch” being a meme.
I think it makes sense for Jesse to put it together. The scene in the desert shows that he’s realized that Walt is manipulating him, but he probably hasn’t gone back and thoroughly considered what else Walt may have been lying to him about. The connection with cigarettes makes him think about the ricin again (which he has no doubt been beating himself up over) and Huell pickpocketing his weed makes him realize how it could have happened. During that scene I was literally talking to the screen, telling him to just get in the car. I think he just missed his last chance to have a semi-happy ending.
Other things I loved in this episode: the waiter interrupting the Mexican restaurant showdown, the point near the end where we can see Walt park his car hurriedly, rush to the door, then take a moment to feign relaxation before walking in.
So what do we think happens next week? Jesse inadvertently immolates himself (he wasn’t being too careful with that gasoline) or Walt shoots him?
Junior walks out with the baby. Jessie spares him the match but drops the truth on him.
Wow, that sounds about right. Does Jr. watch the kid on his own?

Junior, seeing that Jessie is about to destroy the primary source of his breakfasts, goes berserk on him and beats him to death with the cereal spoon he wears around his neck.
This version is worlds better, IMO:
Is that from Malcolm in the Middle or something? It’s pretty great.
Not really digging the Hank Ex Machina direction.

I’m still confused, or the show is confused, about the ricin. The kid was poisoned by Walt but with the Lilly of the Valley plant he had in his backyard. So Walt only stole the ricin to temporarily make Jesse think Gus poisoned the ki.
But since the doctors later confirmed Lilly of the Valley, why does Jesse think the Ricin being missing confirms Walt did it? Wasn’t the whole theory basically debunked, or did he still think Gus did it with the other plant, and since Walt lied about not taking the Ricin, he must have done it?
I guess it’s because Walt went to great lengths to make another fake cigarette so it’s clear there was a huge coverup.

In last week’s episode, Huell stole Jesse’s weed from his pocket, and that made Jesse realize that earlier he had stolen the cigarettes to remove the ricin. It was a very similar situation and it connected the dots for Jesse. Incidentally, you can see Huell lifting the cigarette pack in the season 4 episode if you look closely enough.

That occurred to me also, and I agree with you. Jesse getting the ricin swapped doesn’t directly connect to the kid’s poisoning, because the poisoning was confirmed to not be ricin. I guess Jesse can make a logical guess about Walt being involved, but he can’t know that for sure even if he knows Hewell swiped the ricin.
There was a scene in an earlier season (after the poisoning, and their fight & reconciliation) when Walt & Jesse spent all day cleaning Jesse’s house looking for the ricin. At the end of they day they turn up nothing, but then Walt sees Jesse’s Roomba vacuuming the floor. They tear it open and find the ricin cigarette (which Walt had planted). Walt convinces Jesse to let him safely dispose of it, and he runs off to the bathroom with it while Jesse breaks down crying on the couch. If Huell took it, how else would it end up in the Roomba afterwards for Walt at to find, unless he was involved or lying about something?
He knows Walt was involved.
