Jesus H. Christ. The Red Wedding was a goddamn picnic compared to this episode.

Well, I was right about one long term hostage: Jesse.

There’s no way the next episode won’t be “months later…” in the timeline, right?

I am thinking that a vengeful Marie kills Skylar and ends up in jail or perhaps runs of with Holly.

The poem Ozymandias is a perfect title for the episode.

I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed:
And on the pedestal these words appear:
“My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!”
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.

I really don’t know what Marie is going to do. Take in Skylar’s children? Go crazy? Drink herself to death? Go on a shoplifting spree? Hank went from something of the comedy relief to a tragic figure, who got terribly wounded, both physically and mentally, but stayed focused, and finally justified himself by catching Heisenberg - and just when Marie thought the nightmare was over, she finds her husband is dead. Damn. Maybe all of the above…

Wow, thanks for that Strollen. I wasn’t familiar with the poem, but I did wonder about the title, which sounds familiar. I’m sure I’ve never read that poem before tonight.

I think Uncle Jack is going to have to pay Marie a little visit to get the tapes Hank made of Jesse? Bye bye Marie. Man, brutal.

With this show, who the hell knows? Anything is possible. But I am going to bet on Walt eventually rescuing Jesse at the end.

Horrific.

I have no idea why you would think anything in this show will end with a remotely happy ending

Better yet, listen to Bryan Cranston read it!

Truth. If Jesse gets rescued at all, it will be incidental, as a side effect of exacting revenge on the crew.

I thought back to this post as Walt pushed his single drum of cash out of the desert. So close!

Haha! I forgot that I wrote that!

Elsewhere someone said Walt walks past his pants from the first episode (and the flashback) as he rolls his barrel back. Did anyone else catch that? I remember seeing something but I didn’t realize it was the pants if that’s really what it was. Clever.

I was going to post this on the Under the Dome thread, but people might not be expecting spoilers from this on that, so it goes in here.

If Dean Norris gets offed in the season finale, will he be the first actor killed in two different series on consecutive nights?

I really need therapy after that episode.

I think it is Civ 4 (one with Leonard Nimoy narraration) that reads the “I am Ozymandias” line in introducing some tech. Perhaps that is where you heard it?

EDIT: Yeah, it’s “Construction” : http://civilization.wikia.com/wiki/Construction_(Civ4)

The pants.
