Nope, you’ve argued Corbyn is an anti-Semite, not that he’s failed at tackling it.

Well of course. The Labour Party wouldnt be splitting over institutional racism if there was an anti-racist in charge.

Having a blind spot to something, or not working toward something doesn’t mean you are a proponent of the opposite of that something pwk. That should be fairly obvious to anyone who realises that the world isn’t somehow limited to only two sides or only two positions.

You’re arguing that anyone who isn’t an antifa is a fascist by default for example.

Trump and the GOP leadership thank you for exonerating them of any responsibility for the actions of the Republican party, its members and supporters, and its shift to a far right supporter base.

Is there any chance that we could, i dunno, actually stick to fucking Brexit in the Brexit thread?

Make a new thread to talk past each other about Corbyn, or better still, go to PMs.

Let’s talk about Brexit without talking about the Opposition Party? The one undergoing a catastrophic split and further risking no deal? Easier to leave UK politics on one thread, its all inter-related.

So that’s a no, I guess.

It doesn’t help there’s little to talk about. Nothing will happen with Brexit until the clock runs out or the Tories finally decide they have had enough of May threatening them with no-deal.

Mean while back to Brexit May seems to be under the impression everything is just fine.

But Mrs May told activists: "Our focus to deliver Brexit must be absolute.

“We must not, and I will not, frustrate what was the largest democratic exercise in this country’s history. In the very final stages of this process, the worst thing we could do is lose our focus.”

Apparently this means only the 17 million who voted for Brexit have their vote matter (unless of course they thought Brexit was going to help the NHS or bring new jobs, in which case they are also now to be ignored), the 16 million who voted against are to be completely disregarded and their rights are to be stripped away with no appeal.

May is blatantly saying she has no desire to the PM of the UK, just PM of 25% of the country. Amazing.

Brexiteers thought, and i was jusy chatting to one that:
it meant Britain could make its own laws (I ppintrd out we coukd already, and could veto any EU law we disliked. And he couldn’t name a singke one of those horribke EU regulations werr bresking free from)
Britain could stop immigration from certain countries (most of them non EU. Also, its pretty hard to immigrate here already. Lots of hoops to jump through)

Bear in mind this is a very good friend of mine and the furthest thing from.a racist. I dont associate with racists.

Just goes to show the level of misinformation happening.

He also thinks May should “just get on with it” but i pointed out the curret deal delivers almost nothing Brexiteers wanted and leaves us in the EU in all but name.

And he’s a pretry moderate nice guy, who’s travelled a fair bit and been exposed to various thoughts.

I shudder to think what it’s like deep in the northern, poorer counties.

Im in the moddle of the country right now, Milton Keynes.

I missed M amd S supermarket!

So why is he willing to commit economic suicide (or at least massive disruption) in order to prevent immigration “from certain countries”?

EDIT: this likely sounds more confrontational than I intended, but I would like to know.

Again, for Brexit Tories, what is the objective? What does the good Brexit deal — the one both they and the EU can agree with — look like? What is the situation at the Irish border in that scenario? Do any of them have an actual answer to the question?

I mean, negotiating is pointless if you can’t articulate what you want, or if what you want can’t be achieved. What do they want that is in the realm of the possible? Why does no journalist ask them that question, and keep asking it until they answer it or admit they don’t have an answer?

Just like jerkoff trump.

I get the feeling it’s not that they can’t articulate what they want, but rather won’t go into such detail that they’ll be ever be stuck looking like they caved/“lost” anything.

Because of constant misinformation about stuff.

He brought up Turkey as an example…

Graffiti in Swansea.

It’s kinda “I’m not racist, but I’d rather destroy it all, burn it all down, rather than see more foreign people get in”

Really having trouble reconciling the first part of the sentence with the second.

Well he definitely doesnt want to burn everything down.

If you genuinely believe you’re being held down by a top heavy bureaucracy then yeah it’s quite easy to understand the point if view of leave and deal with the damage.

And it’s quite hard to sift through the masses of bullshit info available to figure out a balanced point of view.

How long until Britain tries to Earthxit?
