@playingwithknives that’s an interesting synopsis.

I thought Andrew Murray was a tennis star!

One day I’d love to have a coffee with you. I suspect it’d be among the more fascinating coffees I’d ever have.

DISCLAIMER: THIS IS NOT A REPRESENTATIVE SURVEY IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM

This survey isn’t representative of the country, the labour party, or even this subreddit. It was only up for 24 hours on a Monday, there was only 159 responses, there was no weighting of demographics, and (due to the way google sheets works) there was no safeguard against multiple entries, For all I know all 159 responses were me on a drunken bender.

DO NOT TREAT THIS AS ANYTHING OTHER THAN A FUN CURIOSITY

The OP was talking to people like you PWK.

Yesterday:

Well, for possibly the last time: May’s gambit seems to have gone down even worse than expected. Looks likely to be forced out of office soon:

On the other hand, given that she has survived throwing away her parliamentary majority when she called a rather ill-judged general election; failing to pass her main legislation multiple times (and with record-breaking margins); leading the first government in UK history to be found in contempt of parliament; losing 1300+ council seats; and taking her party down to 9% in the polls for tomorrow’s EU elections, goodness only knows what will eventually remove her.

Why? It’s representative of politically active, politically aware Labour supporters on Reddit and of their peers.

And it also reflects wider polls. Its not a national survey nor claims to be.

A survey of Democrats on QT3 would also reflect a similar demographic.

It’s really not a poll, not in any legitimate technical sense. If I ask everyone in the room I’m in right now a question, I’ll get an answer, and I can report the results, but I can’t reasonable call it a poll.

But we’d have a good idea about what QT3 politics nerds thought tho? To me it’s intersting that most of the Labour guys on Reddit will be protest voting for green or libdem in the EU elections due to Brexit. Labour have lost the older generations to the ethno-nationalists, their main demographic are younger voters, and the vast majority of those oppose Brexit.

But Labour believe the older ethno-nationalists are equally important, and have pursued a sitting on the wall/ambiguous policy, and the result is the Brexiters have left and the younger remainers are protest voting.

It’s also the case that Labour’s leavers are voting for a hard right Thatcherite party. I expect they hate minorities more than they hate Thatcher as decades of Thatcher hate rhetoric has been left by the wayside

I’m a bit out of touch on juiciest gossip and anecdotes since quitting twitter but I’ve learnt alot about what used to an irrelevant and unimportant slice of fringe politics.

The ends of the horseshoe certainly attract all the weirdos.

Oh looks like witch will soon be dead

and I just got my arse banned from my fave politics forum for posting “Self defence. There is no price to high to stop fascism. I salute the person who chose prison for doing this. Do not wait for the fascists to gain control of military and police to start resistance”

I did realise it probably broke the rules and deleted within 2 mins but someone reported me in the 120 seconds i took to delete it. Oh well. Much like leaving Twitter Im sure not being addicted to fighting over politics and posting non-stop in an (almost) no holds barred forum will be much better for me in the long run. All the hours i gained back from Twitter probably were wasted in that place.

Damned ultra-violent leftists. /sarcasm

It really is self defence. Yaxley Lennon (Robinson) and his thugs have been talking about deportations and ethnic cleansing for years now. If they actually did gain power I would have been recieving a 3am knock on the door in a few years time. There’s very few things that would drive me to making risky searches on the darknet but that’s one of them.

He’s a bit of a side show but good on Preston. What forum?

what a coward

Looks like he is about to cry

One of the politics subreddits. Let’s just say it wasnt ChapoTrapHouse heh.

The danger with him being elected is it legitimises him and normalises his views, and it will open the floodgates to many more far right/neonazis being able to openly campaign and have platforms alongside the usual political parties.

I know Farage/Brexit Party etc are equally as dangerous, but i still regard them as politicians and exempt from violent direct action, but Robinson and co are a different level.

I just dont trust white Brits not to vote in the far right anymore. The mask has dropped and the real numbers of racists and bigots are far beyond our worst nightmares.

Such a pity he walked away. The UK would be a better place if fortune hadnt smiled on him.

Is that… real?

Maybe we can convince Trump he’s a great pilot, the best, knows more than most pilots, and give him a Cessna.

It’s real, though I thought it was an incident with no loss of life… hence my use of it as a joke. Unfortunately it turns out that the pilot later took his own life a few years later due to financial hardship suffered from the crashed plane. :(

Oh that’s a pity. It was just a hired plane towing a banner, the pilot wasnt UKIP
