Odd you say that.

I mentioned to my flatmate that Bojo is our new PM.

He said Bojo wasn’t his first choice, and that he rates none if the politicians or the political system but maybe Bojo can enact some much needed change.

I refrained from answering but I hardly think Bojo is a revolutionary. He strikes me as almost the quintessential establishment figure.

The unthinkable has happened and we agree.

Not that it matters, just something i never knew.

I dont understand this.

We’re still technically in the EU.

I thought law of the land meant de facto reality waiting to be officially sanctioned?
Brexit is anything but a done deal (or no deal.)

Oh god, Prime Minister BoJo. Sounds like a clown.

Yeah he has Turkish roots which is one of the reasons he was taken to task over that Leave poster saying something along the lines of there are 70 million Turks all about to join the EU and swamp Britain…

or some such shit poster.

But Bouncy Boris bounced off that.

As far as I am concerned he is actually a jit (edit, BIT. I’ll leave the original typo in as it relates to the next post) of a clown…

or rather, more sinisterly, a deviant intelligence masquerading as a clown.

TIL what “jit” means.

Little sidetrack here: I think a lot of the people in the US who voted for Trump thought he was Boris Johnson (a deviant intelligence masquerading as a clown) when actually he’s just a clown.

Now they pretend they knew he was a real clown all along.

Not that you will fair any better, since BoJo seems to be a method actor.

Boris is in fact not nearly as stupid as Donnie, but only in the sense that Jupiter is much smaller than the Sun.

When May became PM, I said the fact that Boris avoided getting stuck with the poisoned chalice argued for his intelligence. Now he’s not only picked up the shit-covered chalice but is swilling it with gusto (dude!) It’s now more likely that the guy who has reliably acted the fool his entire career is, in fact, a fool.

He’s a bounder.

and its little more than an archetype from his worthless parasitical class. People like Boris are ingrained in British culture as the scum of the upper class society, little more than leeches taking all they can and returning nothing at all. He’s not even remotely original, as the dictionary shows.

It’s really kind of amazing to watch from over here as people seem determined to actually destroy their country in pursuit of what started out as a cheap political trick but has grown into a kind of insane idea of destiny, especially when they periodically wave their hands and shake their heads and laugh at the accompanying lulz.

My one hope is that Boris’s lack of moral fibre, combined with his relentless opportunism, could help enormously with Brexit.

When he’s staring down the barrel of no-deal, but now armed with the civil service’s dire warnings about civil unrest etc, and the potential to go down in history as the architect of that disaster, he won’t think twice about abandoning that as a plausible idea.

He can go to the EU and wrangle some changes in language, fail to get the deal through parliament, and address the nation: “Look, chaps, I’ve done all I can to get this thing passed, it seems the only way I can do it is by putting it back to the people to tell this House once and for all that they want Brexit, this time in a legally-binding referendum. Not what I wanted, but I’m sure with the best of British spirit and blah blah tally ho what what”.

I reckon he’s one of the few politicians that would have a chance of surviving such a huge U-turn, helped along of course by him not personally caring that much if we stay or leave, so long as he’s in power.

Ohhhh, chancer is a new one for me. Nice.

As mentioned above, Johnson is a man who ran a racist hate campaign against “invading Turkish hordes”, so he’s literally stabbing his own granny in the back to gain power.

Maybe he’d just watched Kingdom of Heaven?

Surprised we don’t have “cur” on that list.

Its a disaster. We’ve elected our own Trump to build our own wall.

and all along its been no secret that Johnson is part of Trumps faction. The Tories are a cult prepared to doom the country and chattel the UK to US interests and oppress millions to keep hold of power and that the country has allowed them to is utterly damning.

and like minorities in Trump’s America, It’s going to be me, my family and my friends that will end up in camps.

Your optimism never ceases to surprise.

Exactly how do you think he will do that? Deliver a no-deal Brexit that a majority of parliament have voted against repeatedly? Or negotiate - in two months - a better deal than May has managed to do in two years, despite Europe quite clearly stating that there will be no new deals?
