@Aceris already explained the reasoning more eloquently than I. So I’ll just quote his post :)

So basically, you’re hoping he breaks your government to force through a no-deal. Got it.

Welcome to the cult of Brexit. Don’t expect anything rational from these guys.

and don’t believe a word they say either.

Oh, and Brit not Brexit news. The latest escapades of what could honestly be described as “Momentums first MP”

The best resignation letter in history.

We had to destroy the democracy in order to save it.

Really, he’s just being entertained by the slow-motion train wreck,

When you are surrounded by a white safety cushion its all just fun and games.

I mean look at that poll up there. 27% “don’t mind”. Buffoons, the lot of them.

Johnson first became known in the British establishment as a journalist who was renowned for ludicrous exaggeration and fired for fabrication. Having failed at that, he was forced to lower himself to becoming a Conservative member of Parliament, where he thrilled a public tired of boringly competent politicians with his disheveled turns on television game shows. His celebrity rose to the point where he was elected London mayor before going on to lead the pro-Brexit campaign in the 2016 referendum—a choice widely believed to have been borne out of a love of publicity and power rather than any deep-seated beliefs. Following a brief and utterly disastrous stint as foreign secretary, somehow he’s stumbled into the most powerful office in the land.

A real winner there… (not that we can talk as we have the biggest loser of them all)

Celebrity schiester, meet celebrity shyster.

It’s too hot to argue - I’m melting :)

No, I was merely speculating that there is a slim chance Boris might be able to deliver Brexit. The reasoning is that:
a) Possibilities still exist to deliver Brexit in Oct
b) The Tory party are now at high risk of losing power and this may cause them to close ranks
c) If they can deliver Brexit before a GE occurs then the polling is much more favorable toward them as they reclaim The Brexit Party vote
d) I think Boris might be able to survive a VONC by the skin of his teeth. I don’t think Remain quite have the numbers to oust him (just yet)

EDIT:
Literally 2 mins after I made this post, came across this tweet

Yeah, and if a no confidence vote passes, either:

  • the house needs to agree on someone else to be prime minister within two weeks(*), OR
  • parliament is then automatically prorogues for a GE, which I think is a 6 week gap.

(*: And tories and lib dems wont back corbyn. Momentum supporters won’t back anyone other than Corbyn. Many Tories won’t back anyone other than Boris).

So the no confidence vote needs to happen 8 weeks before the dealine to guarantee that the new MPs will get the chance to appoint a government that can get an extension - and there’s no guarantee that the new house will be any more able to do this than the old.

Well, they’ve been asked to square a circle. It’s not surprising they can’t do it, though I’ll admit to some surprise that they continue to be committed to trying.

Hmm. Bit more background: the MP has mental health issues including anxiety, and last year attempted suicide multiple times while suspended from his party for making insulting comments on forums. The author of the “best resignation letter in history” went on to mock his alcoholism:

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think he should be an MP, but I also don’t think public shaming is the way to go here.

Turned out Arnold is a “prankster” and promoting himself which takes the fun out of the letter.

But even if you balanced O’Maras alleged alcoholism and disabilities against his foibles he’s still a massive, useless prick.

Praise from the Supremacist In Chief that’s puts us alongside the DPRK

Countdown to Johnson making a “send them back home” comment (and 2 pages from Draxen defending it) starts now.

The irony of a Muslim apostate defending Muslims from the white right, even though I’m shunned and subject to threats and violence in my own community, I still recognise the threat from the supremacists is a greater long term danger as the racists hold real power.

Tory Muslims are as secular and as moderate as you can get and get uncle tommed more than I do but even then…

“I might be an uncle tom but I won’t be a kapo” heh

No point in linking minister resignations but senior Tories quitting their party is of note

Of course the Johnson Tories are going to ally with these Nazi vermin

So we have 47% of people polled either disappointed or dismayed, and a further 17% not fussed, yet this is a country full or racists?

And we have Ministers and MPs resigning on moral grounds, yet apparently this is still a country full of racists.

How do you not see the disconnect?

Anyway, I still think Boris is going to be gone soon.

And I say bring on a general election.

Well yeah, we wouldn’t get to where we are today if racists were a minority.

Similarly in the US.

According to you everyone is a rampant raging racist frothing at the mouth, yet reality indicates otherwise.

Boris is a divisive leader, unable to command a parliamentary majority (or at least to a meaningful one) and under attack from a strong SNP and Lib Dem party, and not so organised Labour party.

To go from that to “a nation of racist cunts” is a huge disconnect, which you still haven’t acknowledged.
