He can’t please both wings of the party. Ultimately the raw tactics of the situation forces him to do exactly what he is doing. There’s no way he wins an election by appealing to the moderates, and he couldn’t postpone an election very far by doing so. So why would Boris, who always plays the politics above all, do so?

Labour Party not keen in obliterating the UK manufacturing sector? It’s almost as if their members and supporters might be pro-working class, rather than disaster hypercapitalists.

Johnson has a keen eye in spotting that little known fact, the tosser.

Nor is he astute enough to figure out that Corbyn remains a Euroskeptic, but he knows that his support base is remain, and Brexit has already inflicted pain and suffering on the working class, especially as immigrants are a core group within and the demographics and surveys clearly show it would be unwise to take a final position on the side of the Thatcherites, supremacists and ultranationalists.

and whilst Britains safe, comfortable white middle classes are being as witty as they can about the whole hilarious lark, the government want to round up homeless people and deporting them.

Looks like Johnsons govt first act is to soften stance on the far right

Westlys analogues in the States need no introduction. Tomi Lahren, Lauren Southern etc

This seems very plausible, in terms of Johnson’s gameplan:

The plan is not what some might expect. He is more interested in power than in Brexit. His aim (so I argue here) is to fight, and win, a GE, and to obtain a mandate for the next five years. The way he approaches Brexit should not be seen as cakeist and naive. In policy terms it is: but the thing is that his Brexit plan is not intended to succeed. Instead, it is only intended to create the narrative around which a GE can be won.

First, he will go ‘our EU friends’, appealing to their economic self-interest, demanding things he knows he cannot get. He will present himself as a ‘can-do dealer’… whose plan has only been thwarted by intransigence in Brussels. Watch for the sharp shift in tone (which will come when the time is judged to be right). Erstwhile friends in the EU will become public enemy number one. The UK will be strong and confident. In extremis, we go it alone, and leave without a deal.

But the plan is not to leave without a deal in October. That, as he knows, would cause huge disruption, and would not augur well for him as PM. The plan is to be ready to leave… but then to be thwarted by public enemy number two, the remainer Parliament. He will provoke the moderate Tories. He probably knows that they require quite a lot of provoking. He will not seek to undermine the confidence of the Labour Party and the Lib Dems. But he will starve the Brexit Party of political space.

He wants to be able to fight a general election, as the man who is standing up for the British people; against the twin evils of the EU and the remain establishment. Vote Leave (and Dom Cummings) have, remember, done this unexpectedly successfully once before. To win, he needs to neuter the Brexit Party (I suspect that the jury is out on whether to offer some sort of pact or to opt for a more aggressive strategy), and bank on the fact that the ‘remain’ opposition will remain disunited.

All this points, as I said a couple of days ago, to an Autumn general election. It is consistent with the UK’s inability to concretise Brexit - both his ‘new deal’ and his ‘no deal’ will remain stubbornly undefined until after the GE. (link: https://twitter.com/syrpis/status/1153789780980670468)

He has a good chance of success. The difficult task of delivering Brexit is deferred to the far side of a general election… and by then, who knows what the options may be. He can cross that bridge when he comes to it. The easiest way to stop this plan is to prevent him from winning the GE. That depends on the opposition working together. Looking at the relationships between Corbyn, Sturgeon, Swinson and Lucas; Johnson might well calculate that he has nothing to fear.

The choices for Johnsons cabinet include unsurprisingly, homophobes.

No doubt the far right will insist that of course, Brexit was about stopping gay marriage all along.

I did not know that this was a real word :P

Patels appointment is prosbly the most disturbing of them all. She’s mad as a box of frogs, a bloodthirsty lunatic.

And incredibly well paid too apparently.

I read she gets 5,000 a month to consult for a US company calles Visavis or something, which requires 5 hrs work a month.

She’s an ex tobacco and alcohol industry exec, paid lobbyist for them, and was involved in reducing legislation around alcohol and tobacco restrictions.

That still doesn’t mean that the coordinated (this has all the hallmarks of Seamus Milne in LoTO) Uncle Tomming socmedia campaign against cabinet BAMEs isn’t problematic. Whilst I call out BAME supporters and enablers for the ethno-nationalist right it’s still very tricky to word it right, and BAME’s need to be careful with it. My main issue is this will be used by whites to engage in Uncle Tomming which is pure racism, and its coordinated by white men too. This is an intra-minority argument, its not the domain of whites.

Reading all that I feel super uncomfortable.

Yup, all of this is to stir up the Corbynista online hate squad used by LotO (these socmedia campaigns originate from the team of Labour’s Director of Communications and Strategy) for dogpiling/mobbing and will result in hundreds of white people calling BAME’s house n***ers and the like and ill be forced to defend a bunch of bloody Tories fuck it’s a nightmare.

Oh and Mendozas rag is a left version of infowars, virulently anti-Semitic and used as a proxy by totalitarian governments to oppress journalists. These aren’t even anti-racists or good guys in any sense.

edit: and she doubled down.

The threads on socmedia are predictable, gleeful right wingers with post historys loaded with racism calling “the left” racists and the anti-racist cause is weakened a bit more. I dont apply racism to this. I dont think BAMEs can be racist to BAMEs in this sense. This is certainly offensive, bigoted, and problematic, but its way more complicated and nuanced at an intra-minority level. Ive avoided any of it, because I know the right will appropriate and boost my criticisms for their own gain.

The problem lies insofar as the ringleaders who simultaneously started attacking the same targets with the same message, a mix of loyal MPs (Lewis, Burgon etc), and left media - Canary, Novara (Sarkar/Bastani), Skwarkbox, Owen Jones and his coterie, and fringe e-celebs Rachel Swindon and others who are notorious for this dogpiling tactic. This is about sending a message to their hundreds of thousands of followers, mainly white people to attack non-Labour BAMEs with slurs like uncle tom and house n*****r and making race traitor comments but more importantly, this is planned and coordinated by incredibly powerful white men.

My socmedia inboxes are littered with the evidence of Uncle Tomming. I’m an Asian of Muslim heritage who shows solidarity with Jews, Im an apostate critical of Islamism and vocal LGBT ally and critical of Labour and the hard left. They hate me. Much of it is not fitting in their stereotype of what a Western Asian Muslim should be, anti-West, anti-Israel, views on gender equality etc, etc. I’ll engage with and often end up in identity politics jargon loaded arguments with BAMEs and I’ll respect their views on that but I’m vehemently against whites using the same slurs and same arguments, especially since these are the kind of white people who say “I’m a lifelong anti-racist” every 5 fucking minutes.

I’m of the impression that some whites on the left appropriate minority oppression as a means to attack their political enemies and aren’t really anti-racist as they don’t follow the principles of anti-oppression. i.e the anti-Imperialist who rails against the West but supports Putin and Assad, or the person who calls out anti-Muslim prejudice by Tories whilst engaging in anti-Semitism. When you see them engaging in Uncle Tomming it really shows some hidden prejudices and stereotypes.

Telling black people that they aren’t black because they disagree with your political views is… Not good.

Oh, “spin-fed outriders” is what I refer to above.

One of the Leave leadership praising Nazi propaganda techniques.

They knew the Brexit voterbase were racist, and tailored their propaganda to appeal to them.

One of the Brexit/Bannon/Trump projects set up a Michigan office.

The Brexiters are just walking parodies. The Tory represenative of the 18th century has just issued a list of banned words for his staff and etiquette rules

Jake needs a fucking spanking thats fucking what.

Imperial measurements? Its a joke. A sick joke from men unfit to govern.

You changed example from South Africa to Nazi Germany. One was an apartheid state with a minority racist government that used the state to violently oppress the majority of a different race/ethnicity/culture, the other was Germany. That’s fairly obvious goalpost shifting after being caught out being farcically ignorant.

“Oh come on.” indeed.

Of course the Guardian immediately responded by looking up all his speeches in Hansard and found more than 700 instances of him using the banned words and phrases.

Overall though, there are many more important things to criticise Rees-Mogg for than issuing a style guide to his staff.
