he’s a Euro-sceptic, and yet in every statement it’s ‘to enact the will of the people’, not ‘Europe has problems, so we should leave (with a deal)’. So yes, except that it’s not secret.

This doesn’t explain his promise to have a referendum in which people can choose Remain.

It isn’t what he’s saying, so yes, you’re alleging he has a secret agenda. You’re alleging a conspiracy. Maybe you’re right, I can’t read his mind, but you shouldn’t object to having your view described correctly.

Man…that brooch!

Heh. Politicians promise lots of things. Their record on delivering isn’t quite so good.

He’s been under fire for fence sitting for three years now; that he hasn’t spoken his mind is the whole problem. So we’re left with mind reading. But whilst he has stated the UK would be better of leaving the EU with a soft deal, he has never said we should Remain, other than to avert crisis. So it’s not a stretch to think that just maybe, he’d prefer to leave if he wasn’t blamed for fallout, because that’s how he leans idiologically, or apparantly so.

If his secret goal is to leave with a deal, why is he offering an alternative of remain if elected? He could just make a soft deal.

I get that he’s personally conflicted on the question, but he’s clearly against a hard or no-deal Brexit, and he’s clearly willing to let the public decide between any deal and remain. It’s pretty hard to find fault with that position, and reading mal intent intent seems unnecessarily straining to me.

You’ve never said and done one thing, without being excited by the prospect of a game changer, no matter how mad? I feel like I get that feeling all the time. Hell, even though I would definitaly have voted for Hillary, there was a part of me that thought, even though I would’ve voted him down, there’s something really exciting about Trump (at the time), namely that I thought the GOP would implode.

And even though I voted against Brexit, I had that darkly excited feeling on the results as well, ooh, maybe the EU will implode and the UK will stand to gain massively when Greece & co drag down the rest of the heavyweights with the lack of our funds and their debt etc.

In both those cases, boy was it it a misguided feeling, but the desire just to see your options change is exciting, especially if you think you’ll be in a position to benefit.

Is this Corbyn? Who knows, but it’s not a bizarre position I’m inferring, unless what I wrote is completely alien to you all and my mindset is that of an aberrant human being.

But this is what you wrote:

This was in support of @MarinusWA here:

So I read you as agreeing that Corbyn has a secret plan to force a no-deal Brexit for which he can’t be blamed. If that isn’t what you meant, then it’s my mistake, sorry, but it certainly looks like that.

Fair enough interpretation, but not quite: I think Corbyn *wouldn’t mind *a no-deal Brexit for which he can’t be blamed. Not a secret plan, just an idiological bent towards that resolution. Would he pull switches and push buttons for it to happen behind the limelight? In my mind, continuing to campaign for a brexit of any kind is almost the same thing; but in the end, no I don’t think so.

Looks like Odey’s going to do well out of one of these:

Metro%20shares

Does this mean Johnson’s head ends up on the Tower Bridge, or have they changed that?

Along came a spider, and sat down beside her…

What a great final season for The Crown

No doubt the fascists will be attacking the judiciary in force over the next few days.

I get the distinct impression this was never really about British sovereignty like so many proclaimed
