I think it’s kind of traditional now that the Lib Dems would definitely work with Labour, would love to, if only Labour would change their leadership.

Another demonstration that Johnsons English Nationalist Party have no relation to the old Conservative Party.

Well they almost certainly will!

But that wouldn’t affect the wider situation as far as lib dem / Labour alliances go, because the lib dems in general hate Corbyn’s destructive economic policies and the rampant antisemitism that he has enabled.

Per @wavey’s excellent contribution, I think we should view the Lib-Dem’s avowed willingness to work with a different Labour leader with a good deal more skepticism than you seem to have. And the anti-semitism charge is pure libel as far as I can tell.

This holds claims of discrimination against the jewish people to a completely different evidentiary standard to claims of discrimination against other protected groups, and accuses jews as a group of being deceptive.

So you say, but you’re capable of believing some odd things.

This is the charge I think is libel:

Emphasis added.

Yup, sworn testimonies from 70 Labour staff members and 28,000 word document with citations, a statutory investigation by the EHRC under the Equality Act, numerous senior Labour figures resigning over anti-Semitism (like Lord Darzi) and apparently its all “libel”, which i can only presume is his insistence that they are no anti-Semitism problems and its all a plot or invented by British Jews or other groups.

Classy.

Yeah, you can fuck right off with that shit. You just became my very first ignore.

What in the fuck does this mean then?

And the anti-semitism charge is pure libel as far as I can tell.

Actually, I wasn’t, but it’s a fair comment based on the context; I made the mistake of not scrolling up and thought Fifth_Fret was talking about such commentary in general and I responded in kind.

Sorry, I went over the top at you. British politics is a nasty mix at the moment.

Can the Tories get any worse?

Of course they can.

I think it’s the weather. Maybe this is why we haven’t had a December election in 70 years; the weather and lack of daylight makes people even more short-tempered and unreasonable than a normal election does.

It’s always funny when someone gets mad at Dan, who is seemingly never mad at anyone ever.

This seems topical and presents what strikes me as a reasonable criticism of Labour.

Oh my God that is awful.

Tell us what you really think, Pie

I’m sure she’ll go far in today’s Tory party.

No worries! Trust me, I know where you’re coming from.
