I don’t think anyone is claiming that every a Labour member is a bigot, I might have missed it. I’m not entirely clear what you mean here to be honest.

I meant to draw an analogy between Corbyn (and anyone else in the party who won’t acknowledge Labour’s bigotry) and MAGA-hat wearers who never seem to acknowledge the same in the GOP.

The point is that you don’t need to say something overtly bigoted to be accused of bigotry.

Right, got it. Thanks for clearing it up!

We know how to tackle systematic and institutional racism because many of Labour’s BAME figures helped create and invent the processes to identify and remove them. Some of those very same MP’s echo smear allegations and engage tropes and declare solidarity with the suspended/expelled members. It’s so utterly cynical.

Alan Moore has chosen.

You could make the same argument for those wearing a Nazi armband. People who wear the hat in public know how divisive it is. They know they represent repression and the torture of non-American children. So no way in hell am I giving them the benefit of the doubt, just like I wouldn’t for a Nazi.

So Labour hates the Jews and the Tory’s hate everyone else? Am I getting this right.

Something seems to be fundamentally amiss in the UK.

Check out the US. It might surprise you. :)

No the Tories hate Jews too. All minorities.

This ad come across my twitter feed. I agree with posted that is a well executed Ad, even if I think exiting the EU is crazy.

I wonder if the Democrats could doing something similar for Impeachment.

I feel like they were having a hard time getting her to have a bunch of realistic reactions.

I’m not sure if you guys already know (if so, ignore me)…
This is a rip off from a scene in a famous British movie “Love Actually”.

… and was also used in a Labour candidate advert 2 weeks ago :)

Hugh Grant didn’t seem too impressed with it:

I knew about Love Actually, but I didn’t know about the Labor candidate until a few minutes after posting it. Her ad was better, which may have or may not have something to do with her being better looking than Boris.

God, the Jon Ashworth tape is utterly damning.

Corbyn’s own shadow health minister think’s he’s a security risk, and has nothing to say when asked if there’s any reassurance he can give about how bad it would be if Corbyn is elected.

Forget the rest of it, which is pretty unsurprising in a private conversation with a labour moderate. (Note the Tory on the other end of the conversation is clearly not a Boris Johnson fan either!)

I don’t know if it’s been edited (verify before trust with Guido 2 days before an election) to make the context sound worse, but Ashworth has pretty much conceded it’s substantively accurate.

Most things I’ve said in this thread were sourced from Labour insiders, members or media outlets. Ashworth was probably kinder than many others inside Labour.

Whats really surprised me is how so much of the media has reported the response and the process story, but not lead “with shadow cabinet member suggests Corbyn is a security risk“. Maybe the taping of a private call turned them off a bit. Seems like such a strong story though, but through the day there was a remarkable similarity between the website headlines that all featured the term “joshing”, before the story was rapidly disappears from the number 3 or 4 slot.

Meanwhile the Times and the right wing press were leading with it throughout the day.

Good luck tomorrow choosing between the rock or the hard place.

We’re between the devil and the deep blue sea.

Thanks!
Luckily my constituency has a strong LibDem candidate.
