This can cover a lot of ground.

It’s hard for me to see this as anything other than: “Scottish Labour decides too many people are still voting for it and decides to do something about that.”. If ScotLab aren’t unionist, why not just vote for the SNP?
The 2021 election in Scotland will certainly be interesting - and the SNP will without a doubt continue pushing hard for IndyRef2 for as long as it remains a vote-getter. If they can successfully convert anti-Boris sentiment into an absolute majority, that is probably when the fireworks start.
Shouldn’t forget NI either, up in all this (though it seems like that is one of the constants of British politics). This GE returned more nationalist MPs than Unionist MPs from Northern Ireland for the first time in history. The Nationalists in NI will be hammering away at every move Johnson takes as much as the SNP does, and with a lot more justification (especially as Boris sells them down the river to gain Brexit - as he already has and certainly will continue to do). The NI problem may soon grow into a real headache.
I’m really hopeful for the dissolution of the UK and am embracing secessionism in a big way. Now is the time to turn the Union Jack into the dust rag it always deserved to be.
Looks like Labour staff are threatening to go on strike unless all those STWC/CPGB/SWP scum he employed in LoTO and compliance I’ve spent the last 4 years going in about are let go ASAP. Racists out!
If this keeps up I might become a member again.

Would you be looking to move to Scotland in that sort of situation or would you stay put?
If it’s not Scottish it’s CRAP
I’m in finance/energy so an EU based Scotland would probably attract banking and energy trading. Irelands taken a big chunk of the City already. There’s a good chance my skills will be needed.
Johnsons government will accelerate any Brexit plans for sure, especially with No Deal a possibility with his liars and fuckwits involved. Dont forget this, in terms of every negative point and guaranteed downside to Brexit the election has changed nothing. All its done is empower the most useless of useless fucks in the process to date and told everyone to turn the racism and xenophobia up to 11 because we’re openly a racist country now. Letterboxes and watermelon eating picannies are 100% fine with a majority of British people. If you ever speak to a Brit theres a good chance hes a racist, or absolutely ok with racism. That vote was just as much as endorsement for racism and bigotry as it was for anything. There are some hardcore racists and far right supporters as MPs now, no doubt they will fill the thread with content over the next few years.
A bunch of white people insisting they arent racist and lying on a survey means fuck, and all.
Did we talk about our Prime Ministers novel during the election? Let’s take a look into the mind of Johnson shall we.

@playingwithknives we must try to find some middle ground here somewhere man because we keep talking past each other. I’m just not sure how to find it…
It’s an abject difference of perspective, of how we view the world around us. I see an increasingly diverse and tolerant society. You appear to see an increasingly intolerant and dangerous one.
I’m not sure how we can square this circle. I’m saddened that we seem unable to do so.

From the Neo Nazi thread.
“You see a bunch of racists but I see a tolerant guy with a unique taste in decor!”
Just because people say they’re tolerant and not racist doesn’t make it so. If you surveyed my parents they’d sound like the most tolerant people you’ve met. Then you get to know them and realize they’re actually terrible human beings who are racist and bigoted to the bone, they just don’t consider themselves that way because they don’t want to lynch black people or even okay with socializing with a few of the “good ones”.
You link far right channels banned from youtube for hate speech, defend this and a million other examples

and dont see any problems with them.
Im not surprised you dont see why we’re incompatible. You look in a mirror and don’t even see the swastika tattooed on your forehead. I have no clue what you might class as racism. Lynching? Death camps? Eugenics? Everything else seems to be A-OK.
Johnson, his party and his supporters are terrible people. Some very nasty things are going to happen to the poor, the sick, the weak, the helpless and minorities of all types over the next 5 years. There is no world where I am nice to these people. There views and values are incompatible with mine.
Looks like BoJo is going to make it illegal for the UK to extend the transition period, so, should be a fun negotiation.
That is absolutely reckless. Good thing he could never get it through parliame…oh.
No deal and massive piles of dead children it is then. No doubt the Johnson Nationalists are hard at the thought of how many kids they are going to kill.
It’s just testing out his new majority. Parliament can always undo it if it wants.
The withdrawal agreement deadline for extension is much harder to change.
Talk of no-deal is overblown. We’re going to take whatever Europe offers. Johnson will pretend to fight, Europe will offer something extra for appearance, Parliament will agree, and we’ll be out with a bad trading arrangement that will handicap the UK economy for decades to come.
But it won’t be no-deal - no food or medical shortages, etc.

Writing the deadline into law is just posturing but it does indicate to the public “I’m doing what I promised” and to the EU “we want this done quickly”. I think there is still a small chance of no deal as it probably wouldn’t damage Boris too much (something like 75% of Leave voters find no deal acceptable) and I imagine preparations for that scenario will continue.
My total guess is that the strategy will now involve getting the most bare bones deal possible so that Brexit is “complete” in the eyes of the public and they can continue negotiations on a broader deal quietly in the background.
My personal concerns RE: Brexit effectively end on Jan 31st. The referendum result will have been upheld and we have the right people (with a huge majority) negotiating the future relationship. It will be interesting to see what type of FTA we end up with.
