Britain is so racist not even our royals are immune from hate and bigotry.

Saw that today as well. Brexiter’s sure cared about the economy, right up until they hurt their economy, and suddenly the economy no longer matters.
The election didn’t change anything. That twat Johnson and his scum govt are still lying their faces off. Ireand is still a huge issue. We will be poorer and less powerful. Factories will still be relocating to Europe because of loss of frictionless borders. Every negative point raised in this thread still stands.
And the feeble minded racist shitstain in Number 10 comes out with nonsense like this
500,000 fucking pounds just to ring a bell for the fascists* to cheer along to.
*the only label for people trying to ethnically cleanse gypsies and commit cultural genocide (as in wipe out an entire cultures way of life and values) against them
Lisa Nandy, who I didn’t realise, to my shame, was a BAME, has had a good start to her campaign.
It’s so encouraging to see this after dealing with a Putinist/Duginist leadership and support base.

A lot to like in Nandy’s speech. My current first preferences are for Starmer (who I think would be most effective in holding the govt to account during the next stages of Brexit) and Rayner (a local MP to me, I’ve liked her for a long time - thought she would make a good leader esp. vs Johnson), but happy to be swayed by the campaigns and any debates before the vote.
The main reason I’m not keen on RLB are her supporters and backers. All hard left Corbynistas/SWP/Communist Party etc. They need to be purged. Giving Corbyn 10 out of 10 just made her look like a moron too
Anyone else I’d be happy with. Even RLB isn’t so much of a worry that I’d resubscribe as a member to vote against her. I think the Murrays and Milnes wouldn’t end up in her LOTO team they are too toxic to the rest of the party and the main problem with Corbyn was his people as much as him and the party as a whole acknowledge this.
Deputy anyone is suitable. Even though Burgon is Thicky McThickface he’d be harmless and fill the gap we have for doom metal guitarists.

Lisa Nandy would be my pick too. However, the latest poll puts RLB ahead. Momentum are pushing for RLB as expected - do they have the numbers to swing it?
EDIT:
Although we’re probably looking at 10 years of Boris regardless ;)
I don’t think any political party has ever recovered from 200 seats to a winning majority in a single election cycle.
lol Momentum sent out a “confirmatory ballot” with just her name on it. Fucking Trots. All Hail The Glorious Peoples Republic of Becky and their totally free elections.
Its so tankie you just have to laugh.
Face eating leopards are doing really well at the moment.

I’ve been looking at the data for that poll and I’m unsure on this - RLB certainly gets more first preference votes, but less than 50% overall, so then the second preference votes of the last-place candidate are counted. Starmer seems to do a lot better on second and third preference votes than RLB. And among people who put Thornberry, Nandy or Philips as their first preference, at least 3/5 put Starmer as a second preference. But then again, RLB will gain from Clive Lewis not being in the race.
Either way, it still looks quite close.
EDIT: sorry, you were right all along - if you actually do the maths, RBS still wins. According to The Guardian:
Starmer receives most second preferences but they are not enough to eliminate Long-Bailey’s first-round lead.
I withdraw my “RLB isn’t so much of a worry” comment
And of course, the fascists are heading down the route of authoritarianism and totalitarianism

Have you guys donated to the Bong For Brexit campaign yet?
A very worthy cause ;)

Surprise, surprise. I assume some of the big union orgs will now follow suit.
She’s pulled a Tim Farron with her Papist anti-choice abortion bullshit. Might well affect her vote.
Asked if the overall time-limit for abortion should be reduced, Long-Bailey pledged that the Labour Party would consult on any changes to abortion regulations, and that she would “play her part” in “ensuring that [the Catholic Church’s] views are heard.”
Other answers from the Salford MP, who was educated at a Catholic school, reveal that opposes euthanasia and “very much” values the role of Catholic schools in providing “spiritual support and guidance”.
Even the hardcore Corbynistas on some of my forums are “Fuck the Catholic Church”. Hundreds of years of white colonialist genocide isnt popular for the hard left or centrists. A significant issue for many.
“I always pray for help and strength in doing the right thing, making the right decisions and making my time worthy of helping those around me as I truly want to.”
No, no, no, i dont want anyone in power talking to sky fucking fairies. Lets hope she’s bombarded with questions on LGBT rights so she can drop the mask on that too.
The bell thing ain’t ever gonna happen. There isn’t a legal mechanism to accept the cash. Johnson’s already blaming his fuck up on the civil service, the stupid c**tbucket.
No Deal never went away, they just tried to distract us from it by being racist to a princess.
and UK media is littered with white men demanding that only they can say what is racist and what is not, and the true victims of racism are actually white men.
The bell thing is over. A perfect metaphor for Brexit as flag waving jingoism was defeated by reality. They still tried to blame Remainers though.
and finally, Greenpeace has been declared a terrorist organisation.
The planet is fucking dying and the Brexiters are calling those who oppose this terrorists. “Sovereignty” my fucking arse.
Piers Morgan is by far the worst interviewer I’ve ever seen on TV. I was intrigued when he started a show on CNN about 9 years ago, (I had never heard of him here in the U.S.) where in the promos he said my goal is for my show to be in the headlines the next day because of what was said in the interview. And it quickly became clear in every interview that this was ALL he was going for. There were so many interesting avenues he didn’t take. It was clear he wasn’t ever listening to his guests AT ALL. He would spout a question, and then no matter what the answer, no matter how interesting, he would jump to the next question, which was often framed in a really aggressive way, obviously so that it could be featured later in the promo for that interview. It was torture to watch.
Who better to quote Fry than Morgan himself.
His acts whilst a journalist/editor were utterly vile, totally disgusting (phone hacks/faking photos etc) and he’s just got worse since.
Bloody hell, i think i said in the pro-choice/anti-choice thread that it was a artifact of American politics and rarely mentioned fringe stuff over here.
and Paul Mason has found himself excommunicated from the Cult of Corbyn
