Get those P45s* out there and those hospitals shut as soon as possible and the the young racists will finally get it, the old racists will all die and we can rejoin the EU.
*translation for Yanks. The official HMRC document you receive when you are made redundant by your car factory.
One from face eating leopard news.
Not only do the Brexiters politics mirror Trumpism, the actual voters are as thick as pigshit too.
Are Fox News breakfast presenters this openly racist? Or has the US right not reached Brexiter standards yet?
All the old racist Brexiters will be thankfully dead soon so now is a good time to discuss Rejoin
Statistically its guaranteed to happen.
Brexit lady is hilarious.
And I can believe there are people like here.
Had some twat slagging off Spain the other day, on the plane to Spain, where he has a summer residence… Saying he couldn’t wait to leave the EU and get one over on Spain…
Where he spends 4 to 6 months every year… :o
Probably the usual view of love the landscape/food, hate the locals.
I wonder if Spain will decide to add more rules for non-EU citizens owning local properties…
By the sounds of one of the previous posts, Portugal is already well ahead in additional requirements compared to what the UK is asking from EU nationals.
On the bright side of Brexit news I heard this report on the way to work this morning about how the UK tech startup industry will likely still be the strongest in Europe despite Brexit, since it’s so far ahead compared to the rest of Europe.
Somewhere in the thread there is a big list of things that could go wrong with Brexit that hit the tech industry in a big way. Its only doing well at the moment as vast swathes of the industry have no idea how to do forward risk assessment on something as complex as Brexit.
I remain pretty convinced Johnson will do with the next stage of the negotations exactly what he did with the withdrawal agreement: cave to the EU in order to get a hollow victory, and claim success.
The EU have already drawn up a map of the custom border points that Johnson insists dont exist.
They had to get it out quick before Turley sends round the baliffs to seize their phones and PC’s to pay for her libel case. McCluskey emptied Unites fighting fund kitty when they sorted him £400k for his London pad.
I think that is a very, very optimistic point of view.
I have a friend who is a classic tech entrepeneur - I think he has had 3-4? companies while I’ve known him, sold one of them with a bit of success too. He’s currently thinking of taking his latest undertaking out of the country once he’s finished his latest investment round and to one of the big “capitals” of tech in Europe - London is on his shortlist…
But consider what makes London so attractive as a tech startup place. It’s a great city, but there are other great cities in Europe - Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, etc. What makes it extremely attractive is that it is an english speaking country - and English is the lingua franca of programming/tech. This means that all of the best and brightest in Europe are perfectly OK with moving to the UK if the right job opportunity comes - the weather may be awful, but they can speak the language well (sometimes better than the locals), and moving was easy due to freedom of movement. Put simply, the obstacles for a German Ph.D. moving to London for an exciting opportunity are significantly lower than the obstacles for a British Ph.D. moving to Berlin.
This will probably still be true post-Brexit, but the obstacles to this kind of movement are just going to be much higher now, which will make it much more attractive for those bright minds to stay in their home countries - or move to a neighboring EU country instead. Recruitment to the UK is going to be massively affected by Brexit, and that will negatively affect the industry. I think we are going to see a major brain drain of expatriate Europeans from the UK to the EU in the coming years. Keep in mind that most of the EU money (research grants, projects, etc) which flowed into tech startup coffers in the UK is also going to dry up now.
I would personally not be surprised to see Dublin emerge as the tech capital of Europe in 5-10 years, eclipsing London completely if they play their cards right. They are already one of the biggest tech cities in the World, and after Brexit, they’ll be the only native English speaking tech hub that remains inside the EU (which means it has all of the advantages for tech startups that the UK just threw away). If I were looking for a base for a tech start up in Europe today, Dublin would be top of my shortlist (and that was basically my advice to my buddy - consider Dublin and Amsterdam - culturally a good fit for Scandinavians - forget about London).
Time will tell, ofc.
In which the BBC try and trick Starmer into saying “yes” and lose millions of racist voters.
State of this fucking country.

What the heck happened to the BBC?
It turned into a government propaganda unit. A few years back. The bias in the news division was disgusting. In 4 years of Question Time, there were weekly appearances by Brexiters. Not one pro EU MEP was ever invited, ever. The breakfast “serious” news Today show just ended up as racist radio for old people cheering on the govt, repeating govt lies and pushing Brexit and ethno-nationalism.
Paying the licence fee is mandatory too. I’d rather do without the BBC now.

Because higher profile pro EU figures were invited, every week. Stop this misleading disingenuous crap. You’re playing the anti-truth “wah the mainstream media” card.

The left screeches, “wah, wah… the BBC is biased”.
The right screeches, “wah, wah… the BBC is biased”.
As long as both are screeching I think the BBC are doing OK. It’s difficult to be entirely unbiased.

Except that the Left screeches about the injustices done to it, while the Right screeches they don’t take the injustice far enough.

Have you seen Laura Kuessenberg’s twitter feed durign the election? Take a look at it rather than defending misogynism and antisemitism.
This is not the british left of 2015.

Well I’m sure the right won’t need to screech much longer, if Boris Johnson’s right hand man has anything to with it.
