Their job is to pass a budget, so naturally that’s news. Failing to pass a budget affects the status quo, which also makes it news.
It’s not their job to denounce white nationalism, antisemitism, or anything else. Nor does failure to denounce something affect the status quo. Not denouncing something is not news. It is merely a complaint.
The BBC bias in recent years is so ridiculous if you scroll upthread you see me complaining about bias against Corbyn.
This is a perfectly ridiculous analysis. You’re saying that a political party that acts against racism or bigotry is news, while a political party that declines to do so is not news. I can see how some people might like that model, for obvious reasons, but I refuse to believe those are your reasons. So I’m just mystified.

It’s not news. Look at our own media. The NYT/WaPo report on white nationalism only when something has recently happened concerning white nationalism, eg Charlottesville. And then they report what politicians say about it, eg Trump’s dumb comments. They don’t report the politicians who have nothing to say, except occasionally to note that they have nothing to say.
There is plenty of punditry at all times surrounding action and inaction regarding white nationalism. But I’m not talking about punditry, I’m talking about actual reporting.

Govt: Get ready For Brexit
Businesses :How?
Govt: I dunno fuck business lol
Some 48 hrs more or less before we leave the EU.
Still don’t know how that affects me living and moving in Europe.
Or a hundred other things.
And I suspect no one knows.
Least of all the people in charge of managing this. :(

That article does not provide such an example.
QT has always had a good representation of pro-EU guests. The reason it has not had pro-EU MEPs is that higher profile pro-EU individuals are available (mainly MPs, but also journalists etc.).
I mean, you go on with your ranting if you like, I just want to make sure our American friends aren’t mislead by you.

I’m sorry, man. Truly. That has to be causing a lot of anxiety.
Eh, the Rejoin campaign is just beginning. I would rather gargle shit than ever accept Brexit or work to see it achieved. We’ll be back in the EU within 20 years and theres nothing the racist Gen Xe’rs, Milliennials and Boomers can do about it, they are completely outnumbered by their non-racist, non-fascist peers, a fact the sole Brexit supporter here cant but fail to notice.
Ethno-nationalism is a movement whose foundation are collecting their pensions. They are dead soon, its guaranteed. Good fucking riddance.

I wouldn’t be so sure. I’ve seen claims that the EU wouldn’t be keen unless there was a very clear acceptance from the UK population (>55-60%), and I expect the government to put in place some kind of constitutional safeguard to prevent this kind of large constitutional change without a popular mandate after the Lisbon abomination (although the bar there might be lower - more like 50%). Winning a rejoin referendum is a much bigger ask than winning a remain one as well, although the rejoin campaign is likely to be more effective than the remain one (it could hardly be worse).
A generation of hardship and the death of the boomers will do it, and we’ll go back in the Euro too.
Its highly like we’ll be rejoining with Scotland and Ireland in the EU too. Brexit is the spawn of the English Nationalists.
Well, fingers crossed. Scottish passport here I come. Fuck the English nationalists, fuck the United Kingdom. Tear it all down.

I dunno. As much as I think Brexit is lunacy, I think the next decade or two will be turbulent for everyone, notably the effects of climate change fully underway and causing migration on a scale never before seen, swamping Europe and slowly roasting the southern members, and generally causing enough chaos that while it still wouldn’t have been a good enough reason to leave the EU, it’ll cause enough collar pulling in the UK that the attitude of “we’ll just wait over here” will prevail-- unless yeah, we’re all out of jobs (in which case I’ll be in Canada, as long as all the trees aren’t all on fire).
If things are as bad as that, when you get to Canada the Americans won’t let you in.
Given it’s a school of thought some hundreds of years old I doubt it’s going anywhere anytime soon.
Especially given it’s rooted in “the other” which will always exist.

Well, if my CAN passport no longer holds sway, hopefully then my American wife will give us the pull we need to get through the US Annexation cordon…! If we raise our hands and swear fealty to the Grand Consul Mitch Mcconnell.
Magic eight-ball says…Doubtful. Probably there will be some test you can’t pass. Or they’ll invent one on the spot. Minimum height requirement? Shoe size restrictions?
Even loyalist terrorists now know not to trust that scrofulous shitstain Johnson and his endless lies.
Face eating leopards won’t be an endangered species any time soon
