I just don’t get it. I had always assumed the previous threats of No Deal were mainly for Parliament’s benefit - “if you don’t vote our deal through, it will be a disaster”. Surely they don’t think the EU will be fooled by this posturing? The outcomes would be bad for both sides, but in a very asymmetric way with the EU in a far better position to weather them well. It’s like the UK holding a gun to its own head and threatening to shoot. I must be missing something?
