IIRC, the few times Facebook (or was it Google?) alerted me to sites or apps wanting personal profile info, they kept the alert down to a few bullet points. Not sure how you can reduce it further. In fact, the alerts could be more verbose.
It would be better if businesses/sites weren’t allowed to deal in personal info, IMO, regardless of the EULA or TOS or whatever.
I feel the bar for “explosive” stories in 2018 is a bit higher than “Leave may have had some Breitbart engagement data”. I mean, it’s not two days since the president’s lawyer, who paid hush money to multiple porn stars on behalf of GOP politicians including the president and was raided by the police for reasons which may involve money laundering and/or campaign finance fraud, revealed his other client was the most prominent remaining Fox News host.

Alexander Nix, the suspended CEO of Cambridge Analytica, is also a director, as well as other executives from parent firm SCL Group.
CA was pretty much just a shell company anyway. The scary part is that they probably learned a lot, both about how to use data to move elections and about how to not get caught.
