Am I missing something or doesn’t that graph just mean “worker productivity has increased steadily since 1997” - and isn’t that something that we already knew?


True, but the share of total output that goes to workers has dropped like 25%. Wasn’t that way before 2000…

The graph looks more abrupt than it really is, given that the whole range is less than 4%.
