How is there nothing they can do to fix it? spend some money cheapskates.

mouse over your superstats in the stat window, if the damage bonus is +32%, cryptic just screwed you.

Well, you pay QA staff. If you push it live, you get people to pay you for their chance to test it. No brainer.

Thanks. What the hell do I increase now :/

That’s a little unfair. They might want to spend some money, but haven’t developed the necessary technology and moved it in place yet. It’s tricky, placing technology.

I thought they just needed people?

also, did they not know how many countries etc… they’d be launching in?

At GE every single person who’d ever even walked into that office would be fired for this kind of horseshit. Plan some stuff, like a business.

what?

we talking about community rep, not an AI here.

Currently, we’ve got 6 community reps spread across two games and three languages, and there’s nothing we can do to fix that.

It was a happy callback to a previous greatest hit of Cryptic communication demonstrating that they truly know how to keep fucking that chicken. Launch day patch happened, and then there was that furor, and then they announced that full free respecs would be given to all. And then several more days passed, because they were developing the technology.

It was a good track. Sadly underappreciated next to the catchier tunes like “good news, everyone! Nerfs are coming!” but I think a better one overall.

You forgot the part where they implemented the technology, but then it wasn’t actually ready yet. Then customers found out how to implement the technology (the console command) since they forgot to put the button in.

I did. I’m only one man, and technology is very, very tricky.

That is a bit pathetic. Not hard to believe something was missed if it was just posted on their forums though, as that place is a cesspit. Plus, a few minor slips like this are inevitable if you release a relatively big patch quickly. Still, breaking crafting does seem like it aught to have been caught…

I’m mostly disappointed because I rather like that foes now do more damage and missions are a bit tougher. Hell, I don’t even have a passive defense, so it can’t be that bad.

Good god. Minimines are useless now (and I didn’t even use them much).

My fire and ice characters are now incredibly less able to take on even decent groups of henchmen without significant difficulties.

Plus, that maintain/charge NPC bug is awesome. I love being one-shotted.

Take an attack from outside Gadgets for that then, there are plenty of things that’d fit a Gadgeteer theme, especially if you supe them up with Miniaturization Drive or something. Various attacks from Munitions, any of the Elemental Powers, or Power Armor would fit well.

Will those munitions attacks really be good without the supporting ego/dex stats (probably end/con)? Dps would of course have to be better than chainsaw.

Not sure how you survive without a passive defense. My munitions hero could likely do it, but doubtfully using bullet ballet and i already died a decent amount when i was doing +3 gadroon missions. My level 8 fire hero with the recommended stats which they seem to be pushing so much barely was able to kill a group of henchmen (+1 i think).

True, Munitions does really benefit from Killer Instinct, which wants DEX/EGO. Still, I would imagine you’d get some mileage out of, for example, Shotgun plus a Gagdeteering damage boost. And Munitions isn’t the only option.

I survive without a passive defense (up to level 26 anyway) by:
A) doing a pile of damage w/ Two Gun Mojo. Somewhere around 1300-1400 per burst, spiking as high as 2000+ on level 30 dummies.
B) using active defenses, knockback from Grenade, and stun from Sonic Device.
C) Opening fights with Grenade + Sonic Device.
D) running if a fight turns sour.

[Edit]
Oh, and E) Making use of terrain during pile ons, so they can’t all shoot me.

I havent noticed KI doing anything for me - planning to drop it. If I’m glass anyways might as well have a power that does something.

-Bring lots of potions
-Pull 1 henchmen at time(2 if all of your cooldown is up)
-Plead for help if you are facing a villain.
-Give up if you are fighting Super villains.

Are we talking about CO here or FF11?

i’ve for sure noticed it working with high dex/eg. When i still focused on ranged, it allowed me to basically use two gun mojo with the minimum energy and gain energy. It is also an extremely effective use of power points. One power spent allows you to get energy back for free without having to use a slot or anything. If you’re dex/ego, i don’t see why you shouldn’t take this and it isn’t like there is a ton of stuff you should take instead.

Idrisz: i think it is just power set unbalance and not that some are overpowered so much as that some are woefully underpowered. Munitions is pretty solid but it is pretty easy to notice with some other power sets. I do think some of the heads at cryptic are thinking like that which is one of their main problems. Cryptic, as many people have mentioned, has no clear plan for where to go now so they do everything without a method to their madness. Some of them want to go the standard mmo route where you pull one enemy at a time and blow cooldowns on them. some of them want to go the super hero route where 4 henchmen rush you from all sides and you take them apart like a… like a… superhero. I prefer the later rather than the former in CO’s case, but a lot of people have trouble adapting to the idea that henchmen should be henchmen and not challenges.

Jasper: what do you use for single hard targets though? although i suppose two gun mojo is quite good if you have good ego/dex. The active defense would probably also help against them. Aoe attack + sonic device will nearly take down a high end villain if they have adds of course.

i probably spend 1/3 of my CO related time trying to plan out how i’m going to make a character, including researching abilities, playing with champion builder (great program!) and then finally playing with the costume designer.

You’re delusional if you think CO right now is anything close to a hardcore MMO. It’s like you didn’t even read Jasper’s post.

sure feel like that when you use martial art skills.
