So apparently Spanish has a single word that means “beating your children with a sandal.” That is remarkably economical.

It is constructions like these that make Spanish a sublime swearing language.

I was told that Scottish has a particular word that denotes the tickle under one’s nose that one gets by sipping scotch. Unfortunately, I can’t remember the word.

Reminds me of a movie I saw as a kid.

“Why do you always curse in German?”
“Because Germans have the best curse words.”
