Looks like his original attorney was granted permission to withdraw because his firm represents Auburn. The new attorney has a practice in Auburn. It’s going to be hard to find ANY attorney in the area who doesn’t find representing the guy pretty distasteful, although that won’t be sufficient grounds to get them out of the appointment.
Slight correction to Sarkus - Lee County apparently doesn’t have a public defenders office. These attorneys are appointed from the private bar.
I guess I’m saying (sarcastically of course) is that stupidity is a crime all its own, and some folks are stupid enough that the old “he needed killin’” defense feels appropriate.
Abuse of animals would be another such instance.
