Since this thread is kinda dead anyway, I thought I’d derail with this cool picture I found. Look at the front row, what, 17 soldiers? The whole thing took 18,000 National Guard soldiers, 12,000 of which are in the torch flame. It was photographed in 1918 and used to sell war bonds.
But how did they paint them all green?
