Come guess this movie in the 2017 20:20 game!

It is not The Jerk.

Not sure how he feels about these cans.

That could be Dr. Loomis. Is it Halloween?

-Tom

That does look Donald Pleasence-ish, but it’s the wrong aspect ratio for it to be the original. Could it be The Return of Michael Myers?

I am impressed with the deductive reasoning powers of one @Soren_Hoglund – it is indeed Halloween IV: The Return of Michael Myers. Well played!

40:40 with Beau Starr, one of my favorite character actors

60:60 with Ellie Cornell

80:80 with George P. Wilbur as the titular character flying off the roof of a swiftly-braking car

Over to you Soren!

The new 20:20

I heart Amy Madigan, because of the baseball movie.

Is this Streets of Fire?

-xtien

“I told you I’m a soldier.”

That’s a bingo!

Saw it for the first time last week, and unabashedly loved it. The open title card calls it a rock n’ roll fable, but a rock n’ roll Shadowrun feels like a more accurate description.

The 40:40 has some streets on fire, and Rick Moranis dodging out of frame

The 60:60 with some ineffective cop

The 80:80 with our hero striding off into the night

Over to you @ChristienMurawski.

Hey. That’s Rick Rossovich. How dare you!

Also, there’s not enough weird Willem Dafoe in these frames. It’s funny to think of him in this since I just watched the “original” Spider-Man movie this last week.

I’ll have a frame up soon as possible.

-xtien

The new twenty:

This shouldn’t take too long.

-xtien

Space Jam, or some other sports movie?

You’re fired.

-xtien

P.S. I was an extra in Space Jam. TRUE STORY!

Field of Dreams

I bet you were flying a spaceship!

It’s Field of Dreams. Because Amy Madigan and you’re that transparent. :D

Doh. I missed that ineffablebob had it because of the Space Jam rib.

And my first name was Jek.

Oh, Doctor! ineffablebob hits it into the corn.

[sidebar: I’m a total sucker for this movie. And I don’t even like baseball.]

The forty:

sixty-one (Actually, a lot of people think this movie is about baseball, but really it’s about writing):

The eighty-whatever (I freaking love Timothy Busfield):

The one-hundred:

Uh. I’d post the 100-100, but it’s just credits. The cool shot I was hoping for happens just about twenty seconds earlier than the credits. Twenty seconds!

Eh…I spoiler tag it so you can look at it if you want to…

Heaven=Iowa

You have the conch, @ineffablebob!

-xtien

“As a small boy, he had a bat named Rosebud.”

You came this close:

-xtien

“I mean it would kill some men to get that close to their dream and not touch it.”

I’m not just transparent. You made me want to watch the movie again. So I did.

You did me a huge favor today. I cannot tell you why, but I really appreciate it. Sincerely.

-xtien

“It’s okay, Honey. I was just talking to the cornfield.”

This is weird, actually having to post a frame! Not used to actually having recognized one of the movies posted in here.

New 20:20

It’s ok, I was having a board game night so I missed it, and I also am a rare correct guesses ;)

So, um, underground science lair? Maybe Daybreakers or something?

Serenity?

Correct! I was surprised that it hadn’t been done already, at least according to a search of the list.

I thought it might last a couple of frames, but the last two would have given it away for sure.

40:40

60:60

80:80
