Now your streets ahead!

I can’t think of a single finale episode that was more on point & more fitting than Community’s. They also had a great regular penultimate episode, Puerto Rican Day style.

Truth be told between season 3 and 6, Community basically has two perfect series finales. And 5 wasn’t half bad either.

Mind, only the one from S6 “counts,” but esp S3’s has a strong feeling of tying off loose ends just in case.

Can you believe there were a couple years where Community, 30 Rock, and Parks & Rec were on? I don’t think we appreciated that time enough.

In that zoom read they mentioned they didn’t appreciate the show Community as it was airing (too tired from work).

Season 5 has one outstanding episode, Meow Meow Beanz.

Geothermal Escapism and Advanced Advanced Dungeons & Dragons are both fantastic. They rival anything in season 2 & 3, including the original Advanced Dungeons & Dragons.

Yeah, but can we all agree that Fabulous Neal was the best.

The latest The Darkest Timeline podcast has Keith David and he’s a delight.

Keith David is always a delight. Playing himself in the later Saint’s Row games has to be a highlight.

I love how in Season 2, he denied ever being on The Cape.

S 2 E 14 used to be Advanced Dungeons and Dragons. Pulled because Chang wears Drowface.

One of my favorite episodes of any comedy show :(

TBH on rewatch, I vastly preferred the sequel episode with Hickey. There’s a lot of good in AD&D, and I’m very sad it’s become harder to enjoy, but the follow-up is one of my personal favorites.

That’s pretty good one. Hickey’s son is SO unlikeable. It took me a while to recognize him as Tobias from Arrested Development.

AD&D was one of my favorite episodes as well. This is sad yet ridiculous.

It’s gone on Netflix in UK too, but still there on Prime.

Also, blackface? He was cosplaying a drow in Chang fashion. My black wife is nonplussed…

We were watching a movie on Amazon Prime, my 13 year old daughter and I and, when she didn’t recognise Ken Jeong, I realised she had only ever seen the AD&D Community episode before. So we dove into pillow fort fights, 2 seasons of paintball and the chicken wing racket. She loved it all.

So I guess I get to rewatch all of Community with my daughter now. Cool.

Cool cool cool.

Now they’ve really done it. I didn’t care about 30 Rock. Now it’s personal. F*** those f***ers.

Drow rights matter.

This is hilariously reactionary, and completely done preemptively to avoid bad press.

Doubt this will be a Streisand effect case, but that could happen.

We are working our way through Season 3 now. The Dreamatorium episode with Annie was by far the worst episode thus far, but the next episode, the Law and Order one, bounced them back into excellent territory again.
