Haha. That’s how much I disliked season 6. I forgot.

If you look at her CV, she hasn’t been particularly successful after Community. A bunch of voiceover work, some roles on shows that only lasted one season, and a bunch of guest spots. You’d think she’d welcome a Community return. So there must be something else going on behind the scenes.

Maybe. But some people just feel the need to move on. And returning to an old role in particular can feel like a step backward, no matter how great the role is or how profitable.

Having a major network announce the movie makes it official in my book, even if its streaming service is as prestigious as Yahoo! Screen (RIP).

Donglover might actually be in?

Dan Harmon seems pretty optimistic that both Glover and Yvette-Nicole Brown will be joining. They just haven’t been able to officially announce their involvement, because there have not been signed contracts yet.

Good to hear, even if they both only are there for part of the movie, it would be nice to have them both be a part. I would love Chevy Chase to show up as well, if only as a meta-joke at some level.

Dong lover?

You put the space in the wrong place, dirty mind you have.

Great news! Glover is busy but I can’t imagine Shirley can’t make it.

Honest to the gods, I thought Chevy Chase had died in RL. I guess it’s because I prefer the Community timeline to the one we’re really in.

Joel McHale ‘Cried Like a Baby’ After ‘Community’ Table Read, Says Movie Will Be ‘Like a Family Reunion But Without A-Holes’

That article is confusing. The quote says:

“We did that table read during the pandemic and I cried like a baby afterwards and I’m not joking.”

There was a steamed Community table read during the pandemic:

I think that’s what he’s referring to when he cried like a baby, not the new Community movie.

I never thought he was implying he was talking about the movie script, but I watched table read so to me the statement was clear.

The article literally starts with “Joel McHale warned viewers to prepare for tears when the ‘Community’ movie comes out, because he cried at the table read.”

I didn’t even notice that first line - yeah, the confusion seems to belong to the author there. Good catch!

The confusion has spread like wildfire. I keep seeing different news outlets saying he was crying during the movie table read like in AVClub and ScreenRant

There’s no way they’re already doing table reads of the Community movie.
