Flat in this case meant the characters in the scene delivered lines, but they were devoid of their usual sense of comedic timing and humerous delivery. I did smile at the scenes in the “Greendale Sanitarium” and again when they figured out the shrink was a fake, but as a whole that segment of the episode (and it was large one) just didn’t resonate with me. It just wasn’t up to the usual Community standards.

Dialing it in is good, phoning it in is bad. As a recent Community apostate, let me say this to Andy: show’s jumped the shark, man. Sucks bad.

Maybe you suck! Oh, and for the record, there was an episode of ‘Happy Days’ where a guy literally jumped over a shark — and it was the best one!

#amymeetsabed - Amy Pond wants to appear on Inspector Spacetime - squee!

Wow, THREE episodes of Community tonight nearly back to back? NICE.

Wow, they really want to bleed those off…still, more for us I guess…

Well, the third episode is the finale, so I assume they just don’t want ONE show still left over since 30 Rock is tonight as well, and Office as last week (for finales). I don’t follow Parks and Rec as often as I’d like, but I think we’ve had that one too already. They probably want to clean up Thursday’s for Duet’s or some other dumb reality show.

Yeah, P&R’s finale was last week.

If Community had stronger viewership, they might have saved 2 episodes for next week, and done an hour long finale set as a lead in to whatever their new show is, but it clearly doesn’t have the audience for that.

Actually, it’s an attempt for better ratings, believe it or not.

This is the last day/week of sweeps, and originally they were going to have awake be a two-hour long finale. Awake is doing so poorly that they moved up the last two original episodes of Community in its place.

“I guess there’s no hug button.”

This episode is great!

Troy and Abed shooting lava!

It’s hard out there for a fake Mobey!

Holy SHIT what an incredible night of television.

DAMN.

Don’t even have anything more to offer at this time, ladies and gents. AP out.

This 8bit episode is the most fun tv I’ve seen since puppet Angel.

The finale finale flipped all my switches. I alternated between my jaw on the floor, and grinning like an idiot. #sixseasonsandamovie

That was a great group of episodes!

Wow, I figured there would be a page of comments about last night by now. “Digital Estate Planning” was amazing. If you didn’t see it, watch it! http://t.co/LGf4ZAnW

BTW, looking at NBC’s page to get the streaming link, it appears that “finale” was actually the penultimate episode, and Digital Estate Planning was the real last one.

Some nice wrapup at the end of the finale, if they had been cancelled. Glad they weren’t, though.

I’ve been a huge fan of Community since the beginning but I have to admit I just haven’t dug the show as much lately. The three episodes last night had some moments but I keep feeling like whatever “it” is that makes the show special is getting forced.

Video game episode with the guy from Breaking Bad was great, I hated the heist with the passion of a million burning Changs dying in a sun chamber fire and the third one was pretty good. The AC school Troy plot was boring all season but I did like when he told them to take the other guy to the police.

“Blorgons in this other universe are actually called Glorbons.”

Chang has been so annoying this season that even watching him get taken down wasn’t very satisfying, because it was still an episode with Chang. Otherwise, good episodes.
