The dialog between Britta and Troy at the end was the most adorable shit ever.
In the most recent episode did you guys catch the line “Ghosts can’t go through doors, stupid! They’re not fire!”?
Its the reverse of the line from the episode The First Change Dynasty where Chang says, “Fire can’t go through doors, stupid! Its not a ghost!”
Thought it was funny.
Ah. Figured that was a reference to something, but didn’t remember the original.
A decent episode. It could be argued it lacked a bit more of punch in comparison with other Community episodes, but also the previous seasons had some “weak” episodes.
I think everyone is getting worse/lazier (though still very watchable) apart from Gilliam Jacobs who has been the funniest one for me in this series so far and seems to be getting funnier.
Something about the lighting seems off this season. In both episodes so far, the show doesn’t seem to be as well lit (except for the brief Abed’s sitcom sections).
The previous head light runner was let go, so now every just assumes the new lighting team is the worst.
That stunk. The setting could have been a fruitful one but they missed the mark. I liked the Halloween episode though. Lots of laughs there.
Last night was a series low for ratings, and Ken Jeong had signed up for an ABC pilot.
The fat lady is warming up. Mercy killing at this point.
I think most of the writing staff have already moved on. I don’t think anyone expected this to go past this season. Maybe they hit some syndication threshold.
She certainly is, her character is really mining the psychology vein, love it.

The Inspector Space-Time Con episode is my favorite of the season so far, even though the Dr. Who references don’t really apply to me. Funny, good character development, Chevy Chase gets left in a dark room, Alison Brie is adorable (seriously, who has a Charlie St. Cloud poster on their wall?), Gillian Jacobs smoothly exits a room, and an Auric Goldfinger clone was the guest villain. It’s not the highest heights of Community, but I’m still glad it’s on the air.

Definitely the best episode of the season so far. It felt a lot more community like.

The season opener was abysmal but I have liked the last two episodes. Hopefully they have an actual finale to the show and don’t leave it open ended.

The Reddit AMA implied the final episode can definitely serve as a series ender, but it left things open enough that they could continue after renewal.
It’s a shame it’s losing steam. Probably better to just end it, alas. I’m still enjoying it, but the current writing staff seems fixated on building on the established Community tropes and expanding those. And some of them were much funnier as off-the-cuff references or brief interludes than as the focus of entire episodes.

Also, Britta’s escape was awesome.

(See? Still are even MORE distracting than embedded videos!)
Okay, that actually felt like an episode of Community. Funny what happens when they actually remember what the show is about and get back in the damn classroom (with Malcolm McDowell as the prof, no less!). That was hilarious. (Is that 100 luftaballons?!?) And Alison Brie dressed as an Octoberfest beer girl… Yes, please.
Ugh, I wish I could agree. That one was the worst of the bunch for me. I’m going to keep watching, mostly because I know how good the show can be, but I won’t be too sad if this is the final season.
I agree, that was a good episode. I laughed out loud several times, just a fun episode. The Dean was especially entertaining last night.
