They were pretty cute together. So was that the season finale, or do we get a couple more episodes?

That was only the 8th episode, there are 5 left, I believe.

I liked the last episode. So far the season has been hit or miss but it’s not as terrible as the first episode indicated. I’ll be happy if they give it a proper send off. Like a few posts above I too didn’t really enjoy Season 3 all too much, especially the second half of it. Which as I said before was why I wasn’t so heartbroken over Harmon leaving at the time as others were.

I loved season three, in particular the last half. The episode with John Hodgman playing the psychiatrist is among my all time favorites. The Law & Order episode is remarkably funny too, particularly in repeated viewings. The show definitely took on a darker tone though, and I can see where it would turn some people off. S3E16 is wicked dark and off-putting the first time you watch it. It’s also kind of touching. Perhaps Harmon had a sense he was on the way out and really went for it, because they do some wild stuff in there that I really appreciate the more I watch it.

Also, apparently there will be a puppet episode. That could be awesome.

I didn’t care for this latest episode, mainly because I thought the writer screwed up Abed. He went from being Aspergers Abed to being Normal Guy Abed Who Really Likes TV Shows. Listen, I’m all about Abed finding a lady friend who gets him, but not at the cost of him having to change who he is. He was too… normal. It was weird. When was there EVER an episode where you saw Abed laughing and he WASN’T putting on some sort of act? But you see him just sitting there laughing with Troy… Oh well.

The rest of the episode was fine, and the appropriate amount of Community cheese, in my opinion.

Well, from the 1 in 6 words I got from this, it seemed pretty insightful: Is Community A Postmodern Masterpiece?I

God, I hate that guy. He confuses speaking quickly with speaking intelligently, and acts like everything he says should be blowing your mind, even when it’s entirely uninteresting.

The man has a great beard though.

Either he is about to bite me or he is constantly in the process of falling over backwards. I’m not sure which.

Holy crap, that guy is certainly in contention for most annoying guy on the interwebs. In that one short video he displays almost every irritating nerd tendency I’ve ever encountered, the only exception being he doesn’t have that weird pseudo-yell speaking voice.

Just watched the 2 dances episode. With the exception of the Abed storyline they Britta’d the hell out of that episode, and I mean that in the mean Jeff Winger way.

Chevy was obviously kicked off before they filmed the puppet episode (he’s not in the photo at the end) and dubbed his lines after I think.

One of my favorite things about Community is the show’s relentless attempts to do episodes that are big, conceptual, and sometimes entirely unique (unless I’m aware of another sitcom that did an episode set inside an 8-bit video game). Even their bottle episode went big. Unfortunately, they have never missed the mark quite like they did with the puppet episode tonight. It was terribly unfunny and even the emotional stuff fell flat in both being touching and trying to ring out a few well-timed laughs.

On a side note, it sure seems like this could have been Chevy Chase’s last episode. He wasn’t in any of the scenes and he wasn’t in the tag (which was enjoyable). I wonder if it’s Pierce free from here on out.

Sara Bareilles!

I thought the episode was great. Pretty much the exact opposite of Cornbread’s description.

Agreed, it was pretty damn good, and I laughed quite a bit, as did my kids.

I thought the bits outside of the songs were fine. Unfortunately the songs were horrible and made up at least half the episode. If you’re going to do a musical episode, you’ve got to make the songs really good (see Buffy’s Once More With Feeling, say). They didn’t even seem to try.

I feel the same way. Most of the episode was pretty good, but the songs had me zoning out.

I felt the songs were great. I got the impression that they weren’t doing a musical episode, but making fun of doing a musical episode.

By having unfunny, musically uninteresting songs?
