Tonight’s episode felt like old Community. Best of the season so far. I was quite surprised. Dean put it over the top.

Yeah, it was quite good. Annie’s reaction to the body-swapped Deanger was the best part.

I’m glad they put the Troy and Britta relationship out of its misery. It only worked when it was unconsummated under Harmon. After they made it official and took it further, it just seemed forced and awkward.

Overall it was pretty good, but the real star of the episode (as mentioned previously) was Deanger. He knocked it out of the park. The other surprise was how awful Abed’s voice for Troy was. It was like he was channeling a minstrel show at times.

Did I see the writing credit correctly? Did the Dean write last night’s episode? Maybe he should have been writing episodes sooner.

edit for a weird stupid typo

It’s probably difficult to get an academy award winning screenwriter to do very many tv scripts.

I imagine it’s a lot easier if he’s already acting on the show.

Easily the most I’ve ever liked the dean.

Good episode. Troy’s Abed was better than Abed’s Troy, but Abed is probably easier to imitate.

Great episode. Laughed throughout the whole thing. I hope it keeps up this way through the end.

Donald Glover is also the most gifted actor on the show.

The origin episode was great fun! I really enjoyed this one.

I enjoyed it, but it felt sloppy to me (I know it’s silly to nitpick a sitcom, but why wouldn’t Shirley and her husband go and pick up their scared children from a movie theater? Why would he just wait around at the bar? That sort of stuff annoys me since it feels like such sloppy writing). Plus, there weren’t all that many laughs.

Agree. I enjoyed it but didn’t love it. I’m glad they finally put a end to the whole Chang thing.

I actually like that they explained the chang/crazy thing via Annie’s Boobs.

Annie boobs could drive any man crazy.

Origin Stories was one of the best episodes in recent memory. It tied an Abed thing to the whole group and wrapped up some minor plot issues both from this season and way back. I enjoyed it. Britta’s purple hair and high school Annie were hilarious. The Pierce cameo cracked me up, and obviously that wasn’t Chevy Chase. I do enjoy the different weekly excuses they keep comign up with to explain his abscense.

It was a pretty good episode. Only watched it once, but I feel like I need to watch it again just so I can see if there are any little in-joke details or allusions in the background of the scenes. This seems like the perfect episode for that kind of stuff.

Is he Danny Glover’s son? They do look alike.

Nah. I’ve googled that before.

Also anybody else catch the “Six Seasons and a Movie” written on the blackboard in the study room in tonight’s episode?

I didn’t catch that, but was tonight’s episode the series finale?
