I’ve used both svideo and component cables with my GC on my digital tv. There’s not a real noticeable difference between the two, except that the component cables allow me to run Metroid:Prime in progressive mode.
Well, you’d think that, but on the pictures from the review I saw (which I can’t friggin’ find) there was a noticable difference.
You’re imagining it dude. Or the review was comparing stock composite output to a Monster S-Video or component output.
Actually, I suppose it’s possible that since we’re talking about video grabs captured with a PC all that extra shielding may have come in handy for once. A high frequency CPU will throw off a lot of interference.
