Yeah, and no one listened or just dismissed it so they think this is all… new.
Like … a magnetic projectile that would fix itself to any ground-based vehicle and launch a canopy that would make it impossible for the driver to see, forcing them to stop.

They came due a house alarm that the guy doesn’t even have, but it might have come from a medical assist app… I sure hope that app didn’t malfunction. This guy got shot four times, and still managed to have a conversation with the cop that shot him. And of course what the cop said happen… not remotely the truth.
The application is framed? I’m curious, did he not actually get in? Or do the KKK not hand you a frame-able certificate of membership once you get in? If the latter, they should address that, post-haste.

He had Confederate flags all over his house too.
I don’t think that’s anywhere within the realm of being in the KKK. I wouldn’t advocate for cops to be investigated for having confederate flags in their home.
Oh, I strongly disagree. The Confederate flag one of those epic symbols of racism and minority oppression. I mean, that was the whole point of the south, wasn’t it? The fight for the southern way of life was a fight to hold on to slavery and white superiority.
Tell you what, you find a sizable number of African Americans that carry around and display the Confederate Flag sincerely and I will change my mind.
I mean, for some reason, there was a sizable number of employed African Americans that lived in the south during the Civil Was after all. They must share the special southern heritage that the Confederate Flag represents, so it should be so hard.
You would literally advocate for investigating any police officer who has a confederate flag in their home, on that basis, alone? Pesky 1st amendment be damned, am I right? Would you advocate for investigating government workers who have pictures of Lenin or Hugo Chavez up?
The KKK, as a domestic terrorism organization is wholly different than the amorphous concept that is the confederacy.

If they had a Nazi flag? Hell yes. A Confederate flag is one and the same.
I mean, you can investigate. I’m assuming if they just own a bunch of Dukes of Hazzard merch, or if they’re like a civil war re-enactor or something (a different mine field, but arguably a legitimate use), they’ll get cleared in the investigation.

It’s pretty dodgy when we’re firing people based on cultural differences, even if they’re an asshole. Thoughtcrimes are a concept you need to be really careful with.

I think you’re right except when it comes to people in authority. Cops need to be above reproach, and employing a cop who might also be a racist is bad policy.
It’s pretty dodgy to dismiss this stuff as ‘cultural differences’. Both sides have culture, there are fine people on both sides, etc.

Here’s me surprised that a cop might have a KKK membership alongside their confederate flag worship.

The next thing they better be looking at: How many Black and Latino people has he framed?

If we fire every cop that owns a Confederate flag, seems like that might eliminate a pretty significant portion of the police force, especially in the South.
waiting for “NAZI PARAPHERNALIA FOUND ON SUSPECT COMPUTER”
And that is… a bad thing?
I just want to be sure.
Oh, and I would make an exception for any Civil War Reenactors. Not a blanket exception, I mean, you both be an asshole racist and a Reenactors, but I could see that as a rationale reason to have a Confederate flag.
Heck, if you have authentic stuff and are a collector, I could see that being a legit reason to have a Confederate flag.
But if you have a bright new shiny Confederate flag, well, I would assume that you are a racist.
