Sure, of course I agree with that. But I think your posts emphasis the price the “good” caps pay when they allow the bad cops to get away with anything. Your whole attitude on cops is based on what the bad ones get away with and not what the good ones do.
Sorry, dude, but that’s the point. There are no good cops when the ‘bad’ ones get away with this shit, which is pretty much always. There are only terrible, evil cops, and their conscious enablers. That’s it. And the enablers aren’t ‘good’, just less evil.

Look I am not defending cops that are violent and commit acts that should be judged criminal, I am also not defending cops that turn a blind eye to others who do that, but I also don’t believe that every cop is bad.
Hey, man. Every time they circle the wagons and protect their own instead of holding each other to the standards they hold others to (which is every fucking time), they do this to themselves. Decades of these policies are now coming home to roost. Now that every citizen has a video camera in her pocket, we now have proof. Not that it’s helping much, but some people are starting to actually believe what the rest of us have been saying for ever.

Hey, I do hold out some (tiny bit of) hope that the… ahem, ‘good’ cops will get tired of paying that price for the bad ones as this gets more and more evident. But in reality I think it’ll be more of the sunk-cost scenario we’re already in, and they’ll just keep doubling down. In the meantime I chose to empathize more with their victims than them.
