Sickening.
They must have a very different definition of incompetent than I do.

“People say (the) video doesn’t lie, but it doesn’t tell the whole story sometimes,” Leal said. “In this instance, with one bodycam, the officer is engaging, but there are other officers doing other things you don’t see. It’s going to be up to the officers to show what we didn’t see.”
Well I’m sure that will go well for the victim. I’m surprised the one bodycam was actually working & was turned on. Sounds like they sure made a shitshow of the arrest.

Never give consent to search anything, ever. Litterally nothing good can possibly come from it.

Or be black, it almost always ends poorly.

That’s really frustrating, because even conservative commentators were aghast at this at the time.
The whole justice system seems designed to protect police from the consequences of their actions.

It’s weird how they acknowledge it’s tragic, but then proceed like it was just going to happen, like there were no conscious actions to make it happen and therefore no corrective action or consequence could’ve avoided it. He just up and killed himself I guess, even though everyone saw otherwise.
Black cop almost gets shot by security guard.
Wait! This should be in the BLM thread, shouldn’t it? Ah well.

I’m sure Blue Lives Matters will be all over this… right?
Well, the “B” does stand for “Bigoted,” right?

How is drawing a gun on a cop for no reason and threatening their lives just a misdemeanor in Ohio?
Well, I mean, it’s not even a crime for a cop to shoot a kid with a (toy) gun who isn’t threatening anyone. A misdemeanor is a step up /sarcasm
Same reason they can shoot dogs and people with impunity I would assume, otherwise maybe they just deserve it.

But this is against a cop… not the cop doing it.

Well it’s tricky because the cop is black while the security guy is white. It’s probably more complicated than this but I assume the white male factor outweighs the cop factor when you subtract points for color.

Heh, well… yeah.
I assume Blue Lives Matter though is all over it because the entire force is supposed to be like blue right so auto-magically Sheriff Deputy > rent a cop security guard… right?
I think we need a crooked cop thread?
Another one here, the problem is we don’t know why yet. Or maybe he thought the homeowner was black and was going to beat or shoot him?

What the hell.
Police say there are no protocols about officers moving someone’s camera.
How about just not touching something that doesn’t belong to you. He broke someone’s camera. There’s probably no protocol for stomping on someone flower garden either, but if it’s not life and death, just don’t do it.
