I’m not sure if it’s scary but following the digital age to its logical conclusion. “…functionally impossible to reliably communicate in any digital setting?” Just means the noise has finally overtaken the signal. The noise has been constantly increasing for decades but the signal moves to new avenues. With AI there’s no place for the signal to escape to.
It does seem likely to me the elites of the world will raise their kids in anti-tech hermetic spaces like some Dune-eque Hogwarts place, with nothing but analog inputs and outputs. I can foresee a return of typewriters for certain mission critical, high end transactions.
