Core Keeper: game in which you mine, build, fight, craft, and farm

Ya, what @geewhiz said. It’s super annoying to have the sword flash constantly, but the pick is the one wearing down.

I just beat the first boss. Found rails. Yeah!

Played another 4 hours yesterday…exploring most of the map, beat the first boss, ready to take on the 2nd one. I see no reason to make a home with furnishings or anything like that but that’s ok. The animation that flashes on the PS5 is always the middle one no matter what you are actually using…freaked me out at first but ignore it now.

NPC rooms? AKA you need rooms to put the NPCs in that you find and have come to, “work,” in your base, per se.

Also, trust me, the map is way bigger than a 4 hour adventure. You’ve probably not even scratched the surface, some parts open after events, etc. You’ll need to bridge over to new areas, and some are locked as mentioned until you do things.

Oh yeah, just explored a lot of the start area…before I defeat the other 2 boses and unlock the core or whatever they call it. I’m sure the more I play, the idea of a home and having NPCs work in it will make sense…right now it’s just explore and fight and make more tools for more exploring and fighting.

Yeah I hear that, building a base is really only a small break from that. The same with production areas for auto-mining, etc.

When I played there was also an unfortunately decent sized about of luck on drops, too. The more active players on the subreddit and wherever else were grinding bosses and areas for certain drops. I skipped along to the next game when I got up to that. Now there are more bosses and areas though, so I’m not sure how much of that is still a thing.

What do you do with all your stuff without a home base? I could probably be a bit less of a packrat, but I’m constantly going home to drop off a full inventory.

I died twice on Malugaz. Dude is tough.
