Cherry Poptarts and beer? I’m good.

That’s pretty aggressive - I can’t imagine you get large (> 30) groups. Is this just an abundance of caution? I would think if you’re doing this, then this is going to hit a LOT of businesses / bars / restaurants / etc.
In gaming you consistently touch stuff others have touched. Chances of contagion are way higher than in a normal meeting with no to little touching.

+1. Toasted with butter, exactly the thing to make one feel better while hiding in a bunker waiting out the coronavirus apocalypse.
And literally 5 minutes after typing that I got a text saying the trip is cancelled
I just went shopping 2 days ago in Burlington for the last bit of our 1-month emergency supplies and the MarketBasket and Hmart were very well stocked. Either things have gone to shit in the last 48 hours or you should try up there.
You know when would be the best time to put 150,000 people in a field? Right at the top of the curve on that government chart in 14 weeks time.
The festival is still scheduled to take place 24-28 June in its usual home of Worthy Farm, Somerset. At 15 weeks away, it would happen just after when Sir Patrick Vallance, the government’s chief scientific adviser, placed the likely peak of the outbreak in the UK during a Downing Street press conference today, at 10 to 14 weeks.
Well things have kind of gone to shit in the past 24.

Exactly right. Also when we have big magic groups we can get 60+ in the store at once.
They aren’t technically that much worse in MA than they were a day or two ago, but I guess the fear levels have ramped up. Now I feel like going to the local grocery store to look around…but the desire for social distancing is strong in this one when there’s no virus.
Public schools in Michigan closing. We just got notification. Reopen April
I don’t know if its too little, too late, but the teensy little optimist voice in my head that’s largely been pounded into submission by healthy amounts of pessimism, caution, and worry sort of wonders if the last 48 hours in the US and the dramatic actions being taken won’t at least help to flatten the curve a bit.

We have to. Like, it’s not an option. Even if that means dudes in full biological gear in NBC vehicles driving around.
The Constitution doesn’t allow for a waiver.
I’m sure they’ll find a solution that exploits poor people or something that mostly works out.
Also you can technically take a census through a closed door as far as I know.
Yeah technically, but in the past 24 hours we had that disaster of a Trump speech, closing travel with Europe, NBA NHL etc cancelling seasons, Tom Hanks diagnosed with it, Boston Marathon postponed, etc. A rush on stores today I’d say is expected.
My thinking has been that there’s a natural equilibrium that will occur - as more people are reported infected, more people will be afraid to go out, reducing the infection rate more. I’m not saying it’s a perfect feedback loop, but I imagine there’s some equilibrium to be found there.

The Alberta government here have just recommended cancelling any gathering of over 250 people (or outright banned them, I’m not quite sure yet). Seems a very harsh step for a province that only currently has 19 confirmed cases that are all travel related, but being on the overreacting side of things seems probably sensible?
I guess it doesn’t bother anyone that our President is basically innumerate.
