New York governor announces first public drive-through coronavirus testing facility on East Coast
From CNN’s Bob Frehse
New York state will have the first public drive-through coronavirus testing facility on the east coast, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced today.
Officials will start testing people by appointment only in New Rochelle starting Friday, Cuomo added. New Rochelle residents who have been quarantined will be tested first, he said.

I would shower likes on this conversation, but I am prevented. In the words of our central committee: from each according to their likability; to each no likes decreed.

Well that’s a solution!
I feel like that is likely to help everyone out a lot more than expecting our current government managing to give them appropriate protective gear or get us to spritz sanitizer on people at the door like those mist sprayers at the soon be closed Disney parks.

How could I forget Pogue Mahone and my dear friend Rich like that? It would appear that these Likes have gone to my head. I may have come down with a serious case of Likefluenza, gasp.

It’s weird. I had a dream. In the dream a voice told me to screencap that. For the future. I said, But VOICE why would I need that. The VOICE slapped me in the head and said, when the time comes you will know.
The VOICE was right. I think…

Welp, time to spin up some RATM.
Did not need to see that. Perhaps I’m okay with a Coronapocalypse after all…
Likes are a band-aid for the need of validation. The solution this country needs to fill it’s approval gap is love. Only a few elites are loved. My fellow posters speak of likes because they are lobbyists. Bought and paid for by Big Love. Send me to Washington and I fight approval inequality.
It does not, though you will see people claiming it does because they’re repeating an error in a widely-cited paper.
The WHO’s current estimate of COVID-19 mortality among people infected is 3.4%. An exactly comparable estimate for 1918 isn’t available (because of lack of reliable information) but a best-guesstimate is somewhere between 7.5%-20% - much, much higher than the current estimate for COVID-19.
But a widely cited paper erroneously put the rate for 1918 flu at 2.5%, a rate that is literally impossible given the total mortality numbers. This incorrect rate for the 1918 flu has been widely repeated, leading to much confusion in recent weeks.
Detailed description of the erroneous 1918 rate people keep citing is here. (It’s a thread from February, so the COVID-19 parts aren’t up-to-date: but the critique of the erroneous 1918 estimate is still valid.) Another take here. Unfortunately Wikipedia gets it wrong in some places.
Welp, New Mexico reported it’s first three discovered cases yesterday. Six now today. Gatherings over 250 banned and all public schools closed for three weeks.
She is totally awesome. Now that’s how to get bureacrats off their butts.

Ben Shapiro dares criticize Trump’s address last night and now he’s an enemy of the (FOX) people, I guess.

He was already on a list for being a globalist, he just got moved closer to the top.
While I was looking up case fatality rates, the other (oversized, yellow) shoe dropped:
