Western Massachusetts (so away from any big city) is now reporting COVID-19 is starting to spread among the community without identifiable chains of transmission.
TLDR: This is coming to small cities away from large metro areas; don’t assume you have weeks and weeks before it gets to your town just because nobody in your area traveled to China or Europe or Seattle recently.

No-one knows, but we do know containment DOES work.
The alternative was, letting the disease run rampant, leading to patients not being able to get a room in the hospitals, not being treated, and dying because we had too few resources. There is no way that is acceptable.
So we act in the way we see best. Our leading health experts have been having online meetings with Italian and other countries health experts continually, harvesting their experience, and its based on their evidence we do this.
As @strategy so eloquently put it, we spend money instead of lives.

They delayed it until June 20. That would make it the last primary, about 3 weeks before the convention. It’s going to be hard to believe this sort of thing isn’t just a way for a Republican state to fuck with the Democratic nominee.

I’m positive that it’s here, we just don’t have a confirmed case yet. Thankfully, state government and businesses are being proactive.

My company just announced they’re locking the doors to visitors (keyfob entry only) and requiring that everyone who doesn’t need to be in the office work from home. Being proactive about getting people set up with equipment and requiring Skype for all meetings. To some, it feels like overkill, but I’m beyond thrilled that they’re taking it seriously, as that’s what will be needed to slow it down enough to make it manageable.
What really surprises me is that it’s a cruise to Mexico, and the Mexican authorities are letting them in.
With so few cases reported down south, I wonder how long until they start building a wall to keep US out?

Theres not a chance POTUS hasnt been tested due to exposure to Brazilians/others and the reason he’s not boasting about a negative result and his super immune system is that he has it.
Not even on twitter/reddit do people believe he hasn’t been tested. Where are the russian bots anyway? Maybe they are the ones saying the Trump just delayed CDC tests to profit off them.
Just like Idaho and West Viriginia, they’re just not testing. There’s no way Mexico has 7 cases.
