Governor of Colorado just shut down all ski resorts in Colorado.

I don’t know how many times me and Guap need to remind you all that making posts critical to how this administration is handling the crisis is bad, and that now is not the time to point fingers.
Also, when this is over, it’s definitely not the time to point fingers, because that’s when we all need to focus on the future and not dwell on the mistakes of the past.
(heavy sarcasm intended still)

LOL, Tucker Carlson says that the media actually underhyped Coronavirus. These idiots can’t get their story straight.

For an alternative way to keep people safe, let us look to the Governor of Oklahoma:

Watch how people calling Bernie a communist got policed in the other thread. QT3 are a bunch of hypocrits.
Reasoned criticisms are one thing. Pwks endless hate filled spew of conspiracy theory nonsense is another
That would be muy hunch. Korea’s testing is so extensive as to qualify as random sampling.
But it’s true there’s no study using Korea’s data, so maybe it’s true 80-90% of cases are a symptomatic. We’ll see.

Look at this
China
Italy
S.Korea
Critical cases: 30% vs 9% vs 1%. I think this is because as you said, S.Korea is testing enough as to count as random sampling, so they are catching many more ‘mild condition’, making the % of serious/critical go down.
/does math. S. Korea CFR is almost 4 times smaller than China.

I wonder if SKorea were more successful at convincing older people to isolate as well.
Actually I’m pretty sure those skorea numbers are wrong - that might be the deaths, not hospitalisations

But it wont be bad because China contained it, guys.
This is how we’re “handling” it while China was removing people from their family and locking down cities of 15 million. We’re going to make Italy look pleasant at this rate.
I went to a store the other day and felt compelled to make this:

It’s all about a throwing everything at the wall and seeing what sticks.
Hannity says one thing. Tucker says a thing. Piero says something else. Regan says another.
Whichever one has legs becomes the way forward.
Well, one particular ‘news’ outlet was ignoring it for months. Wonder which network that was?

The problem is this:
As of March 10, 2020, around 29.5 percent of over 7.5 thousand confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) patients in South Korea were in their 20s, followed by patients in their 50s and 40s.
South Korea had a huge Church cluster of cases that skewed really young. 45% of their cases are in age ranges where Italy, for example, has registered no deaths.
If you look at age specific CFR in South Korea
https://www.cdc.go.kr/board/board.es?mid=a30402000000&bid=0030
Are about half those of Italy only
https://www.epicentro.iss.it/coronavirus/bollettino/covid-19-infografica_eng.pdf
And again, Italy’s numbers show the effect of a collapsed healthcare. South Korea´s,healthcare has been much less stressed due to their cases skewing young and thus having less cases requiring ICUs. Italy’s percentage of reported cases in the age range with no fatalities is under 20% compared to SK’s 45%
I’m sure that twitter is the 2nd most effective way to get Trump’s attention. Fox and Friends of course being #1.
We should also take a minute to realize that it was entirely predictable that adding additional screening to a dozen airports was going to create havoc.
