That’s too bad about Idris Elba. He was photographed last week with Sophie Trudeau at an event in London, and she was announced to have it over the weekend. I suppose that’s where he was infected? Though in a post-containment world, I suppose it doesn’t matter where he contracted it.

Your flights will almost certainly be cancelled though, right?

I’m not sure. Possible Fiji will still fly them precisely to avoid having to issue refunds. They’re offering change for no fee or bank the ticket price for future purchases. I have to expect though that it will be hard for the airline to survive a few months without significant overseas fares.

His net approval here was 11 in March, or right about the same as South Carolina.

The numbers I saw were net approval around 6, also same as SC. Those are the two red states where trump is least popular.

Looks like the UK deaths doubled in 24 hours. Either the UK has far more transmission than other countries, or we got very unlucky in demographics - perhaps some care homes were infected? Hopefully this trend does not continue…

At 91 deaths, France ordered the closing of all non-essential businesses; this might mean the order to shut UK businesses is sooner than we think.

That’s what Iberia was offering. I’m not sure they’ll fly an empty plane to a closed country just to force you to accept future flight credit. But maybe, I guess.
