Also tempted.

Still, I’ll be gone in a week and if he wants to pass it on to his kids, his gf, her kid etc, that’s on him.

YouTube Studio just told me:

IMPORTANT: Due to COVID-19, we will conduct fewer human reviews to protect the health of our extended workforce. Unfortunately, as a result we may remove content that does not violate our Community Guidelines

Yay.

Apparently, during the second World War, in the cabinet war rooms in the UK , there was a poster that stated anarchy is only ever 4 missed meals away.

I can see that happening.

Because that’s impossible to do at home. In your underwear.

Sounds like my mom potentially has it in Florida. Shes been working at a Walmart, so in contact with lots of people. Doctors wanted to test her after she tested negative for flu, but county denied the test since she hasn’t been out of the country. So she is just stuck at home self-isolating.

I’ve seen variations on this attributed to a couple different sources. Seems plenty reasonable to me :(

Not now. I went this morning at 5:15, (normally they open at 5), found a note on the door that they’ll open at 7, when I came back, line of 40-50 people outside, tons of stockroom people trying to stock inside (I can’t imagine what midnight looked like), and aisles and aisles of mostly empty shelves. I did get most of everything on my list except for fresh veggies - only was able to snag a few red bell peppers and lettuce.

Capitalism at its best.

That’s the opposite of what we need.

A very important distinction. I am seeing hospitals already shifting to get rooms and beds ready for these patients before they show-up, moving aside the other rooms and elective things.

We’re trying to gear up, and since there are people talking about recovery, it doesn’t seem like we’re prepared at all. The worst, by calculations, has not even occurred yet.

I have a cough myself, for about 2 weeks, but no fever. So what to do? All I read is it comes with fever, sweating, sore throat etc. I have a cough and occasional headaches.

Hey, maybe we found a use for the Internet of Shit, finally.

You may very well have a mild case of COVID. A lot of people barely have a fever (99.5-100.5 range).

but how long should it last? I usually have a cough during this time of year. Also, no testing if you do not have severe symptoms even in great old Germany. I half isolate myself, so no friends meetup, work from home, no public transport, just going down to the supermarket or for a walk on my own in a nearby woods.

Most cases of COVID last about 20 days, and then you’d be contagious another couple weeks after.

I am assuming that what they did was tested people for a fever before letting them in the building. If they had fever sent them for additional testing. What’s wrong with that?

That is really cool. From the article: "Kinsa’s latest map of fever spikes shows areas that are known to have many cases of Covid-19, the illness caused by the coronavirus. But the data also point to spots in Florida, Michigan, Arizona and eastern Texas, where not as many cases have been reported.

wow. We are already pretty much in lockdown, I expect that the government calls for curfew next week. We have 12,000+ cases now official, about 30 deaths

It’s dangerous to not go alone.
