It’s just warmer down here. Sun stroke or something.

This one is a little more helpful, as it shows what is abnormal based on their previous years of data collection.

Something is seriously wrong in florida…

I imagine a crisis that causes hordes of people to suddenly work from home might, just might, cause mass changes in home climate control settings. Barring a strong explanation for how they corrected for that I’m going to consider that map garbage.

A lot of people running around with no symptoms could happen but you can’t hide a shit ton of deaths. So if Florida is the worst outbreak in the country where are those?

Maybe I’m missing something, but how does a climate control system affect a temperature reading in a mouth inserted thermometer?

Oops, my bad. I conflated browser tabs there. Too much reading about this COVID stuff today :(

I was reading something earlier about data from NEST or other smart climate control thermostats being used as a proxy to find people experiencing chills (aka fever). I thought this map was from that story, but apparently it’s unrelated.

Nothing to see here, move along.

Tweeter is a Washington Post staff photographer, who snapped the image.

Guys, I’m starting to think that our President might be a racist piece of shit.

Can we not make the President being a racist shit a political issue please?

Fucking imbecile.

That and people who died after being welded into their apartments probably aren’t counted in the CCP stats.

I suspect there is all kinds of funky stuff going on in the China data. I dont think it’s a deliberate effort to mislead so much as the product of a system in which any party intervention has to be an unqualified success, and numbers are reported up through multiple levels.

But however much the China data has been screwed with, the shape of it is not wrong.

Okay, I first heard this line from my management when they were resisting letting us work from home. I’ve seen it crop up in multiple places, so I’m assuming this is being spread by someone. Fox News? Someone else?

Anyway, it goes like this: “I’m pretty sure myself and multiple people in my family had this in January/February. It wasn’t a big deal, just a regular cold. People are overreacting”.

Keep in mind this is being said in Utah and we didn’t have a single confirmed case here until March, yet they are convinced they and/or their family members have already had it because they got cold symptoms in January. And since their cold just felt like a regular cold (because that’s probably what it was, dumbasses), everyone is just being dumb and overreacting.

I’ve now heard this on four separate occasions. Anyone know if there was a source/personality for this line of bullshit reasoning? They’re all the very conservative type, so it feels like this may have started as a talking point on Fox or Limbaugh or someone else.

Anyway, it’s infuriating. They’re all convinced that because they had a cold at some point this winter, it must have been COVID-19 and was no big deal, so they know better than doctors and health officials.

It’s Limbaugh.

Search Limbaugh Coronavirus and he was comparing it to the common cold for quite a while and many times.

And Graham and Meadows are pushing Trump to not accept doing direct payments to people, so not sure anything will get passed by the Republicans.

That’s Presidential Medal of Freedom winner Limbaugh, to you!

He’s got lung cancer. What are his odds if he catches it?

I have a bowl of oatmeal and a bean burrito ready for if he does.

Go to the beaches. They are safe!

So said the mayor.
