And this thing about Feinstein looks to be simply reflecting the charges against Senators Burr and Loeffler. It is a cynical view that most people, especially most voters who are even a bit undecided, do not follow the news closely enough to know who is right and who is wrong, if the two sides are just each saying the same thing about the other. Thus, you can magically neutralize all legitimate objections to your side’s behavior.
