Pretty incredible that any New Yorkers support DJT, given all the NYC contractors/ workers he’s ripped off over the decades.

My dad is telling us that truck driving might have an issue soon. They’re keeping the industry running but they’re shutting down their rest stops and places a truck can actual park and idle at night. They’ve got nowhere to go as they haul the TP around.

If truck drivers stop, our society stops about two weeks later.

Yeah we’re trying to assure our dad he’s probably not going to lose those routes, but I don’t know what they expect the drivers to do if they can’t… park anywhere. It’s illegal for them to park in a lot of places and of course no bathrooms.

No worries, I’m sure this administration is on top of it.

Truckers are more important than doctors. Without doctors, a bunch of people die. Without truckers, the cities and suburbs starve or burn.

Without truckers, MAGAs won’t have adequate toilet paper for their filthy asses. That won’t stand.

And apparently he’s not wrong. It’s not really hitting national news just here and there as states shutdown.

Santos has relied on police officers and Good Samaritans to help him get food. It can make it difficult to find a source of motivation while out on the road.

“I don’t know. The money I guess,” Santos laughs. “I deliver food so if I stop driving, people stop getting food. That helps I guess.”

That’s part of what made it interesting to me. We fall into the habit of describing the behavior of people in specific states — People in Florida are behaving like this but in California. The truth is, even in New York City, within one borough, you had people reacting differently based on their politics and culture.

The boroughs definitely have pockets of blue color conservatives, particularly Queens and Staton Island.

Something hopeful to read:

I would hope that states would consider rest stops essential facilities.

There are also plenty of petty racists in NYC, and that’s a rather significant part of DJT’s appeal.

Another ~6,000 new cases and 627 deaths today in Italy. :(

They don’t in the best of times.

It’s just a cold, bro.

Actually, yes.

That’s a thing that the federal government can do in emergencies.

I was wrong. It isn’t Florida, it’s NYC that will kill everyone.

Coronavirus bags the grand prize

So happy we have a shit tweeter who somehow owns the libs with his idiocy to guide us through this emergency. Should be fine.
