Would it surprise anyone if he dumped Fauci when the death toll rises and that the virus would be gone by not if he hasn’t listened to him?
Considering Trump talent for making any bad situation worse, no it wouldn’t surprise me. But, Trump has decent to good political instincts. He knows that firing the most trusted person in the country in the midst of a crisis would be bad for Trump’s re-election.

Terrorist attack that kills 50+
Eruption that kills 40 odd
Global pandemic
Quite a 12 months here in NZ
Imagine being a super accomplished man like Fauci and having to deal with the whims of a complete nothing like DJT.
It’s a disgrace.

Texas Governor asks individual counties to order shelter-in-place, but not ask him.
God forbid them or their children or friends or family need anything from the medical system any time soon, after it collapses under the weight of 20 million desperately ill people.
Trying to make this into a generational war seems pretty damn stupid.
Good shit. Thanks.
I know I’m being borderline paranoid about it but so far we’ve been avoiding take out. I want to support my favorite local restaurants but it also seems like an unnecessary risk.

If there was still any question, this answers that. Once athletes start pulling out, there are no olympics.
Yep, I think Canada and some other fairly large countries announced over the past few days that they’re not sending a delegation this year at all, no matter what.
So that snowball has been rolling downhill and it seems like a matter of time (though it may be a month) before they push back to 2021.

Careful here. No shit it is not a food borne illness, but if an infected person is handling your food, I would still assume you can transfer it that way.
It boggles my mind that the IOC hasn’t already postponed or cancelled.
I have to make the call to come home or not now…don’t know what to do for the best.
Sure. If they sneeze or sweat into your food maybe they can.
But if they’re sneezing or sweating into your food you’ve got other issues to worry over. We don’t have any real documented cases of foodborne contagion carrying causing an infection. Perhaps there are some. I would assume the risk is minimal.
At the point of this paranoia, the workers packing your food in a processing plant are also a potential risk, as fast as the food supply is moving from plant to table.
BTW, if you really want to reduce your risk on eating carryout/delivered food from restaurants about as low as you can go, do this:
- Get your food into the house via pickup or delivery.
- Unpack everything you’re going to eat and put it on your own plates.
- Put anything you’re not going to eat right away into the fridge. Recycle/throw out the empty food containers that your food arrived in.
- Wash your hands thoroughly, and then enjoy dinner with your own silverware/chopsticks/utensils.
- Wash your own plates and utensils for next time, or put 'em in the dishwasher.

well for me the math is simple.
Can you transfer virus from your hands onto surfaces? = yes
Do foods have surfaces? = yes
Do you wash takeout food before eating it? = no
The fact that some scientist hasn’t yet conducted food related studies specific to Covid-19 is probably the only reason “there is no documented evidence”.
They don’t have documented cases of food transmission. There is a simple solution to the delivery driver coughing or sneezing on the packaging. Remove food from package, throw away package, and WASH YOUR HANDS.

Do you realize how meaningless that is at this early stage?
